Baltimore open up the game with a good field position due to a bad kick off by Novak and they finished it on a 16 yards post route TD to Torrey Smith who made an amazing 1 handed catch. SD wasted their 1st possession provciding a bad protection to Rivers who got picked off by MLB SmithGreat drive by the Chargers to answer the Ravens, they went to Gates many times on 3rd downs, the drive has been Well concluded by Allen in the endzone with the Ravens defense unable to got Rivers on a blitz. Baltimore's offense have been able to arrived closed to SD's endzone because Chargers defense has been unable to win the battles on the line of screemage but the limited Baltimore to just a FG. SD reacted with a very good drive but Royal wasted it all fumbled the ball in Ravens's territory, Baltimore recovered it and drove the ball down field and kick another FG to increase their lead. SD with less then 2 min and just 2 TOs has been arrive in FG range to let Novak kick a 52 yards FG to finish the 1st half. The Chargers made a spectacular Big play where Rivers Found Floyd Deep on Ravens redzone on a vertical seem but they have been limitated to just a FG. Ravens Great field position and stupid chargers' penalties gifted them an easy TD score by Torrey Smith who is the Flacco's go to guy in this game. Rivers again so accurate lead his team to the Ravens's redzone where Mathews took the ball in the endzone on a shotgun draw where Gates made a Great block to open the hole. The Ravens continued to match down field and Flacco scored on a QB sneak. Rivers kept everything on his shoulders and made another magnificent drive to Find Allen in the endzone on a Great 360 back shoulder catch. Jacoby jones returned a kick off on the chargers 20 yard line and let his team have a great field position to score another FG to be ahead by 6 points. SD had 2:24 seconds without TOs to score a TD to win and that happened thanks to the MVP of the game Philip Rivers who never missed a target on last drive and after a pass interference on Floyd in the endzone he threw a screen pass to Royal alligned on a slot to score the game winning TD. The Ravens with 0:38 have been unable to reach FG range to give Tucker a chance to win the game.
Great game to watch with lot of emotions, both tteam played great and attacked the weakness of the opponents and the result has been just 1 punt in the game and a very a scoring game.
Baltimore played a very good game but really not in passing defense where they have been literally destroyed by Rivers, on offense they did nearly everything they needed to win this game and Flacco played a very very good game in every aspect of the game.
For SD Rivers has been simply unstoppable and his receivers played a very good game too and even if they lost the 4th center of this season the offense has been amazing mixing runs and a variety of passes schemes. Good job by the o-line to keep the Ravens' pass rushers away from Rivers despiting the absences. On defense the Chargers need to improve so much in coverage but even against the run because they exposed themself to passing game because the needed to put too many players on the line of screemage to stop Forsett. Flowers played a huge game to excluding completely Smith Sr. to the game.
