The Eagles Started with the ball and right form the beginning of the drive they have been in trouble to run the ball so they relied more on passes, once they arrived at midfield on a 3rd and 14 Redskins LOLB Ryan Kerrigan sacked Sanchez and recovered the fumble forced during the play. RG3 got the 1st chance to take his team ahead and he took addvantage of it partially been in trouble to be effective on passing game but thanks to a circus catch by WR Roberts and a stupid personal foul by Williams they arrived in the Eagles redzone where they have been stopped by the tough Eagles front 7 and forced to kick a FG that gave them the 1st 3 points of the game. The Eagle reaction came offensively with their 2 RBs McCoy and Sproles involved on both running and passing game on the very fast pace Chip Kelly's offense, they used a lot of outside runs scheme like the sweep who has been run by McCoy for an 11 yards rushing TD that gave the Eagles their 1st lead of the game. The Redskins got the lead back on the very next drive with 2 big plays the 1st saw Jackson beat the very beatable CB Fletcher on a fly route outside for 51 yards and the 2nd one a 28 yards rushing TD by RB Morris on a wear zone run very conditionated by the poor tackling by the Philly's defense. The Eagles started their drive with 2 elettrifying runs, 1 by McCoy and the other by Sproles that gave Phila 2 very good gain, after that they have been in trouble 2 straight times facing 2 3rd and very long both very well converte by Sanchez who has been protected by his o-line, once they arrived inside the Redskins 10 yards WR Riley Cooper scored a receiving TD on a quick slant route fron the lot to re-estabilish their lead. The Eagles defenseforced Reskins offense to a quick 3 and out giving their offense 1 last chance to score before the end of the 1t half but once their arrived in midfield area Sanchez missed some passes and forced P Donnie Jones to punt the ball to end the 1st half.
Roberts fumble the ball during the kick off return at the beginning of the 2nd half that has been recovered by Carroll an this resulted in another great job by the best ST group of the NFL this season, unfortunately for them the offense didn't advance the ball and K Parkey missed an easy FG to waste a very good chance to score points. The Redskins decide to use a ground and pound kind of offense running the ball the majority of the times inside without taking any risk, when they haven't been able to reach the 1st down mark the refs threw 2 very bad penalties for roughing the QB that gave the home team the other chances to score and they finally did with a dive o RB Morris who used his power to reach the endzone.
On the very next drive the Eagles arrived on FG but K Parkey missed again in an awful way the FG attempt, Washington got the ball and RG3 delivered an 55 yards strike to DeSean Jackson who beat again the awful CB Fletcher, the on fire Jackson draw anotther penalty for pass interference in the endzone that set the ball on a yard away from the TD, FB score on a following play with a dive runfollowing the LG and C blocks.
Sanchez finally got his rhythm and marched down field with the big help by his best receiver thus far TE Ertz, he completed lots of short passes without take any risk and even if the running game struggled he has been effective, WR Riley Cooper score on a vertical seem from the slot his 2nd receiving TD of the game.
Nate Allen picked off RG3 on the following drive and Sanchez continue to kill the Redskins defense with short passes but once arrived in the redzone area they slowed down and they have been forced to kick the game tying FG. RG3 and his offense have been forced to another quick 3 and out that gave the chance to the Eagles to go regain the lead but Sanchez wasted the possession throwing an interception near midfield giving the Redskins to win the game. WR Pierre Garcon complete a very important ball to take his team in FG range and right from that moment the Redskins let Morris run the ball to chew all the clock and with 0:05 left in the game they kicked the game winning FG with K Kai Forbath. Sanchez hail mary fell short in the Amerson hands who deflected it down to end the game.
Disappointing performance by the Eagles who musted win this game to keep alive their playoffs hope but they failed in a painful way for their fans, the K Parkey missed 2 easy FG and CB Fletcher i think is the worst in the NFL right now especially on deep routes, Sanchez finally proved to be a backup and their RBs have to run more inside the tacklesto be less predictable. By the way the Redskins deserve all the congratulations for this win they played tough from the beginning both offense with north south runs by Morris and on defense with the pro bowler Kerrigan who is 1 of the best LOLB in the lead and he took the place of former Redskins London Fletcher to be the leader of this defense. The MVP of this gave in my opinion is the former Eagle DeSean Jackson who made a pair of huge plays for the Redskins due to an improved RG3 who got the start for the Redskins and even if he didn't play great especially on short pass accurancy he has been able to manage his team and take the to a prestigious win over a playoffs caliber team.
