NFL: Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens matchup analysis

This would be an interesting game, as the Ravens play well at the right time and they are now in a wild card spot for a postseason berth. But, with San Diego winning yesterday a thriller against the 49ers, Baltimore need absolutely to win today against a Houston team who at 7-7 are still in the hunt, even if some teams are still ahead of them.
Baltimore will win this football game if their defense is playing great. In fact, their D is coming huge lately and they will have a good matchup in Houston. I know that they lose DT Ngata but really the rookie Jernigan has been so good since he’s the starter, that the absence of the Pro-Bowler is not so hard to figure for Harbaugh. The combination of Suggs and Dumervil is one of the best in the business, as they have a superb occasion to show up once again against the 4th QB for the Texans, Case Keenum, who was on the Rams practise squad before his signature with Houston on monday. The QB out of Houston was with the Texans last season but this is a new offense for the Texans right now and he had to learn it all week long. On offense, well RB Forsett is one of the big surprise of the season, as the former Houston guy will try to burn his former team. He will face a superb defense, highlighted by maybe the MVP of the season, J.J. Watt, but also by other great players like LB Reed or DE Crick : yes, the D established by Romeo Crennel is playing so well this season, as their D backs are good too, like Jonathan Joseph, who will try to shut out Steve Smith SR. Flacco needs to be good and marched down the field, as he absolutely need to find his TE Daniels because WR Smith will not be at 100% I think.
Houston will rely on RB Arian Foster, as the Pro-Bowler is one of the best backs in the NFL when he’s healthy. He will face a strong defense against the run, but his capacity to catch the football out of the backfield on some screens play makes him a beast. Case Keenum will have his big playmakers, as WR Hopkins and Johnson were questionable but will play for Bill O’Brien squad. J.J. Watt will again be a beast to control for the Ravens O line, and look for SS Lewis and Swearinger to help their CB to absolutely shutdown the Baltimore passing game and let their front 7 contain RB Forsett.
I know this could be bold, but Im going with Houston in this game, simply because their D will show once again and they will shutdown the Ravens running game. When Flacco is unidimensional that’s where he could make mistakes and I think that will be the case in Houston today. Im going with RB Arian Foster as the MVP because he will dominate a superb Baltimore front 7. The X factor will be TE Owen Daniels, as he’s a great red zone target for Flacco and the absence of linebacker Cushing could be huge for the Texans.
