NBA matchup analysis NY Knicks vs Washington Wizards

This would be an important game for the Knicks; especially because they cannot afford to play like they play since the beginning of the season on the national TV. With an awful record of 5 and 25, NY is a deception this season, as the return of Melo and the installation of Phil Jackson in the Big Apple was supposed to create a new system and also a new vison for the Knicks, a winner vision that the « Zen Master » was able to create in Chicago and in Los Angeles. SG Carmelo Anthony is not playing great basketball and PF Stoudemire is just no more the same player that he was in Phoenix, even if he shows sometimes throwback plays. The absence of a true point guard is really really a mess for Derek Fisher, as Calderon and Larkin are not true leader at the point guard position. The bench is awful and the Knicks live and die with their outside address, a thing that you can’t all time control and that’s why they are such a bad team in this early season. Well for the Wizards it’s absolutely the opposite. The team has right now a true leader, the All-Star PG John Wall, who is maybe the quickest guy in the NBA. His ability to share the basket with his teammates and his improve jump shot are so difficult to defend for others players. His duo with former Gators SG Beal is one of the best young backcourt in the league, and the addition of a veteran like Paul Pierce is really a superb move by the Wizards. The paint is good, especially on defense, where guys like Gortat or Nene are really good to contain opposite SF or C. Im taking Washington to win this game, because John Wall has taking his game to an other level and he will thrive in this one, as the Knicks are too individual to beat a good team like the Wiz, event if they will show heart on a national TV game.
