NFL: New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins matchup analysis

This would be a good game to watch, as we all remembered the Week 1 Dolphins win over the Pats in Miami. But unfortunately for Miami, they will not face the same New England team on sunday afternoon, as Tom Brady and co are coming off a superb win in San Diego and they have just loss one game since Week 4, this loss was in Green Bay no less. The Patriots share the best record in the AFC with Denver, while Miami is coming off a huge loss at home against one of their rival for the postseason, the Baltimore Ravens.
If Miami wants to win this game in Foxboro, they need a total team effort. QB Ryan Tannehill is a superb quick and short pass guy, as the Dolphins will need to stay on the field to prevent Brady to march than the field and score early. Miami is the best team in the NFL to avoid 3 and outs, so thats a good point, especially in Gillette Stadium, where the Pats offense love to create long drive. WR Wallace will have a tough task going up against CB Revis, who totally quiet Keenan Allen last week, and the other good Dophins WR, rookie Jarvis Landry will face CB Browner, one of the most physical defensive back in the league. So Tannehill will need to get production out of RB Lamar Miller, who is a good back but he will face a good defensive front line of New England, highlighted by DT Wilfork and by some good pass rushers like Jamie Collins or Akeem Ayers, who played great football since acquisition from the Titans. But Miami has a good offensive line, with guys like C Satele or Pouncey, who can create good run for Miller. Tannehill will have to be secure with the football, as Ninkovich and Jones will try to get to him a lot. On the defensive end, CB Grimes will face I suppose WR Edelman, who is the favorite guy for Brady and who is coming off a huge game against the Chargers. TE Gronk needs to be well covered by LB Misi and Wheeler, as SS Jones will have to help to countain the big guy. LDE Wake will have to create pressure and beat his guy to pressure Brady.
Winners of the 9 of his last 10 games, New England is on a roll right now and they are one of the Super Bowl favorite this season. The O line is much better since Connolly is moving from C to RG, as rookie Stork is the new C. The return of Vollmer is helping a lot and Brady has now the protection and the time to throw the ball. The emergence of WR LaFell helps a lot Brady, as he has right now a big WR to throw on the outside. The combination of RB Blount and Vereen works very good, with Blount as the hard runner and Vereen as the short pass option. The 2 TE system is working also well, especially in the red zone, where Wright is becoming a valuable option for « Tom Terrific ». On the defensive side, well the 2 CB acquisition play very well of late, and it’s all the defense who create problem to opposite offense, in a total team effort.
Im taking the Patriots to win this game, as they are right now a better team than the Miami Dolphins. I’m going with WR LaFell as the MVP, as he will dominate the Dolphins backs, and the X Factor should be Lamar Miller, who needs to be great to remove pressure from his QB, who is not good in the 3rd and long situation.
