NFL: Arizona Cardinals 6 Seattle Seahawks 35 recap and analysis

The 1st quarter has been characteryzed by both defense who played so physical especially on the line of screemage to shut down both running and passing game and the result has been 0-0 game with no scoring chance. Russell Wilson tried to give his team a chance with a big play scrambling out of the pocket, once arrived in FG range Haushka missed a 52 yarder to give AZ a very good field position, The Cards took an advantage of it playing without take any risk relying of inside runs, short passes and a screen. They cam close to the Seattle's endzone but a good goaline stand stopped them short forcing Catanzaro to kick the 1st 3 points of the game. Wilson reaction came immediately on a play action pass rolling on his right making the entire Cards' defense collapse on him and this exposed them to a deep pass to TE Luke Willson who scored an 80 yards receiving TD. Seattle defense great pressure forced AZ to a 3 and out and gave to the Seahawks offense a very good field position. Wilson lead his team cose to the Cards' endzone initially with his legs then on the air on a 3rd and 8 hitting WR Baldwin on a post route an with less than 5 yards to go they went to Lynch on a power run on his right side to score their 2nd TD of the game.
The 2nd half started in the same way of the 1st one ended with AZ totally unable to avance the ball and with Seattle that started with a short field. The Cards defense defended tough despite the very good starting field position of the Seahawks and they have been limited to a 50 yards attempt that has been missed by K Steven Haushka. AZ continued to sruggle offensively and Seattle tried to take an avatage of it, WR doug Baldwin made another big reception due to a fall on the line of screemage by his directly opponent CB Antonio Cromartie but K Steven Haushka missed his 3rd FG of the game that nullyfied the entire drive. The Cards finally put points on the board with a Catanzaro's FG due to a drive conducted especially on the air by the QB Lindley who found WR Michael Floyd on a fade route 1 on 1 against CB Sherman for a key play o extend the drive and arrive in FG range. Seattle started their following drive with powerful runs by Lynch and then continued it with a veriety of passes, TE Luke Willson has been the protagonist of this drive with 2 straight identical receptions on a vertical seem both covered by MLB Larry Foote who has no the legs to cover him due to his age, the 2nd of them resulted in his 2nd TD of the game and also gave his team a confortable lead considering the kind of problems that the Cards has in the game since that moment.
No reactions came from the Cards' side and Marshawn Lynch killed the game with a 79 yards Beast Mode kind of run that destroyed multiple tackles down field to reach the endzone undisturbed, despite his pre-game stomac problems that forced him to miss the 1st 25 minutes of the game he shown all his power and along with his umbelievable balanced made him unstoppable even for players like CB Patrick Peterson who is 1 of the best tackler for his position and also he has a very good size to be reliable even against running game. Lindley tried a desperate pass completely out of target to got back in the game but CB Richard Sherman picked him of and he also returned it till the Cards 30 yard line. Wilson score a rushing TD to end the drive and to start the party for his entire team who dominate all game long even due to the injuries that killed the Cards' offense.
The Cards must fix their QB and RB position to be competitive at the level they want to, Lindley has been awful for all game long with no excuses to his inability to be dangerous against the Seahawks defense. The o-line played a good game even against the best ranked defense in the NFL. On defensive side i feel to say great game by Peterson & Co. who did everyhing that they can to let their team win this important game but the lack of offenvie production made them fail their intent, the only thing that i should say against them is don't be too aggressive trying to stop the opponents running game because it expose them to situations like play actions, screens and situations like this.
Seattle destroyed the Cards in the second half due to big quantity of offensive chances provocated by their red hot defense. Wilson and the ill Lynch has been so good and precise not wasting anything but my MVP for this game goes to the young TE Luke Willson who scored 2 key TDs and provide the big target that Wilson always needed.
