Serie A: Juventus 2 Inter 0 recap and analysis

1st Half

Juventus Stadium Torino, the Italian derby took place under an heavy rain that conditioned it especially in the construction of the offensive play, both coaches let their team play with a 3-5-2, the main difference between those two has been the majority of the quality at midfield by the Juve and the more physical quality by the Inter. The game started in a very interesting way with the visitors who tried to impose their game with an organized ball movement until Hernanes hit the crossbar with a powerful shot from outside the area, since that moment the Juve have been more aggressive and they started to became more dangerous gaining a lot of meters on the field even due to their efficient high pressing. The Inter defense made a pair of mistakes in the middle of their own area but Mandzukic didn't take advantage of it missing both chances, the visitors had a great chances with Icardi at the end of the first half but he missed the control right at the angle of the small area.

2nd Half

The home team scored the first goal of the game with 1:47 on the clock of the second half due to an awful mistake by D'Ambrosio who pushed again the balll in the Inter's area after a bad cross pass by Dybala and Bonucci left alone beat Handanovic for his second goal of the season, the game since that moment saw the Juve playing defensively on counterattack on the space that the Inter has been forced to leave trying to tie the game sending more players to the offensive zone, the visitors substituted Medel to Ljialic and later Eder for a disappointing Icardi also Perisic for Telles meanwhile the Juventus made a change in the same position bringing out Dybala to let Morata play and 9 minutes to the end of the game the spanish striker run with the ball on a counterattack for over 60 meters before he fell in the area and the referee gave the hometeam a very very doubtful penalty shot where the former Real Madrid scored the second goal of the game that eneded the Inter's comeback chances.
