NHL Stadium Series: Minnesota Wild 6 Chicago Blackhawks 1 recap and analysis

Minnesota shown their will to win the game right from the beginning of the game, a game played at TCF Bank Stadium in a very good ambience in matter of fans' support and atmosphere, that has been an important push for the home team who scored after 3 minutes when Fontaine launched the counterattack passing to Carter who got his shit blocked by Crawford but on the rejection Dumba has been left free by Van Riemsdyk and he scored, Minnesota high pace and ferocious forechecking forced their rivals to lose so many pucks and they kept them away from the offensive side, thanks to that they have been able to create scoring chances and draw penalties, has been on a power play that they scored their second goal with Vanek who redirected a Pominville shot in front of Crawford.
The second period has been the perfect continue of the first one with the Wild playing very tough and always first on the puck, it opened up the third Wild's goal of the game, a Niederraiter's one result of the hustle by Pominville who arrived first on a puck behind the net put in front by Haula. The poker arrived some minutes later with Pominville on a slap shot from the right slot. The second period didn't end well for the visitors due to the ejection of Roszival for a vicious hit on Zucker who left the game drawing a major penalty of 5 minutes.
The third period started with the fifth goal of the afternoon by the home team that killed the Blackhawks chances for a comeback, everything started with a lost puck in the defensive zone that has been well treated by Scandella who assisted Carter left alone in front of Crawford who stopped the first shot but couldn't do anything on the second one. Nothing happened until 5 minutes to the end of the game when Kane scored the first Blackhawks' goal of the afternoon but immediately arrived the answer of the Wild by Haula with an unassisted goal.
This has been a very well deserved win for the Wild not only for the win but also for the quality of the way they played, an awesome forechecking along with a great reaction time to arrive first on every free puck, the offense shown also a great puck movement something that we didn't see by the Blackhawks that didn't play, i mean they went on the field without energy and making too many mistakes especially on defense where they conceded too much due to the inability of breakout the forechecking.

MY 3 stars of the game

1 Carter

2 Pominville

3 Haula
