NFL week 13 matchups analysis

Ravens: Power inside runs and no huddle offense thise are the keys offensively for them against the good Chargers defense, on the defensively side they need to improve so much against the pass because they will face 1 of the best QB in the NFL in Philip Rivers
vs
Chargers: passing more times then they usually do and hit the tough front 7 of Baltimore with draws and screens forcing them to play with a DIME or DOLLAR formation and this will open up the space for Mathews and Oliver to run and be effective, on defensive they must stop Forsett and force Flacco to pass more than he wants because he's not a playmaker and with pressure he commits bad mistakes

Bills: Hoyer is not a good QB at all but the Bills must be aware of the danger rapresented by the duo West and Crowell so they must put 8 in the box and let throw Hoyer down field to force him to throw picks 6, on offense they must play patience and delete their mistakes on the redzone
vs
Browns: Haden's job to  cover Watkins will be a key for their defense to stop the not awesome Bills' offense, the best way to attack will be use lo of play actions combined by with quick slants and tough runs

Buccaneers: be more balanced it means more runs because the Bengals defense is so good to stop passes, on defense cover AJ Green with double coverage and don't let him have big plays and also force Dalton on 3rd and long be effective inside with McCoy against Hill
vs
Bengals: continue to be great against the pass and let Nelson be more committed on passes to avoid Evans and Jackson go deep, on offense be patience to run the ball and provide good protection to beat the Tampa 2 (zone coverage in a cover 2)

Steelers: run run and again run! and when they ll play committed to the run throw deep down field to Bryant and Brown, no chance that Saints defense would stop Pitts running game without put 8 in the box, on defense avoid to put Brees on pace and to do that avoid long passes
vs
Saints: on defense they need to play a perfect game to stop a brilliant offense at home as Pitts is, on offense play lot of nu huddle offense to get Steelers defense tired and be voulnerable to deep passes

Falcons: Ryan will have to play like the superstar he is and to win this game he needs to have the ball on his hands so many times because against a very tough defense vs the runs Jackson will not be able to put up great numbers, on defense they need to improve pn both coverage and pass rush because Stanton and his WRs are showing good things in last weeks
vs
Cardinals: be balanced on offense but don't be afraid to pass the ball deep down field, on defense Peterson and Cromartie will be the keys to a success because they will be the majority of the time 1 on 1 against 2 great WRS Jones and White

NFL: Detroit Lions 34 Chicago Bears 17 recap and considerations

On thanksgiving day the Detroit Lions hosted the Chicago Bears in a must win for both teams, Detroit has a larger margin of error then Chicago who needed desperately a win.
The strong motivation made Chicago start the game in a very good way and they seemed to take off after a perfect drive by Cutler that marched down the field with just with passed and the last 1 to reach the endzone on a good WR screen for Jeffery. Stafford drove his team in Chicago's territory with 4 out of 5 in passes but they finished short of the endzone and Prater cameout to kick the 1st 3 points of the game for the Lions. The Lions defense made an important stop on a 3rd down with the interior part of their defense able to denied the 1st down to Forte, Detroit got back the ball but their o-line hasn't been able to provide good protection to Stafford and result has been RE Jared Allen forced a fumble recovered by the Bears on Detroit 10 yard line, the duo Cutler-Jeffery punished the Lions with another TD on a play-action pass. Detroit had issues to run the ball so Stafford rode his best receiver Calvin Johnson alligned in the slot running on a vertical seem for the Lions' 1st TD of the game. Lions' defense improved and gave their offense the chance to get their 1st lead of the game and the offense didn't blow it with a great distribution of the passes by Stafford who targeted nearly every receivers he had on the field, Joique Bell converted a 4th down on Chicago's 1 yard line jumping over both lines to score the go ahead TD. Lions' defense continued to improve and threw the Bears out of thr field on a 3 and out and the work has been continued by Stafford & Co. driving a no huddle offense that literally killed the Bears defense that paid the fact to didn't put pressure on Stafford who found Megatron free in the endzone after he beated CB Fueller 1 on 1 outside on a fade route that made him simply unstoppable.
Detroit started the 2nd half strong on the defensive side sacking Cutler with Fluellen who got his hands on him and forced him to make a beautiful pass to Jeffery to convert a 3rd and 19 beating the Lions zone coverage but the Bears offense have been limited to just a FG. Detroit reacted being so efficent to throw on WRs crossing routes that combined with riddick receptions even from the slot lead an outside run on a 1 yard TD for Bell, Chicago has been again too predictable and Cutler bad decision stop their attempt to get back into the game, the Bears started their attempt from their 5 yards and Cutler tried to do too much on a deep pass intended to Marshall deflected by slay int by FS Glover Quinn. Det got the ball and reached FG range to let  Prater to kick the FG who ended Chicago's hopes of postseason.
Cutler has been so good and accurate especially on short passes but just for the 1st half and o-line inability to open up holes to let Forte run the ball against the best defense in the NFL against the runs cost them the game even because they don't have a good defense at all, absences and bad choices during offseason don't give them a single chance to be a playoffs team, poor coverage down field mixed with the inabity to stop runs it's lethal even if i saw an improvement in the runs department.
Stafford played a great game with a very very good accurancy on his passes after exactly the opposite that happened in Foxboro the week before. Megatron seemed to be returned near to his 100% with his ankle and the result have been a total destruction of Bears' secondary. I think the Lions can make great things this season if Stafford if so accurate and if they will have both Bush and Megatron healty, with that kind of defense and a multi-dimensional offense they are for real.

NFL: Denver Broncos 39 Miami Dolphins 36 recap and considerations

Miami started great on offense driving the ball down the field easly alternating passes and runs, this alternation confused Denver's defense and Daniel Thomas scored a rushing TD on a read option.
A not brilliant as always is at home Denver's offense came on the field but they have been limitated just to a FG. Broncos defense changed completely pace and forced the Dolphins to a 3 and out due to great pressure and blitzes even by safety position by TJ Ward. Tannehill ability to scramble and well executed inside runs let the Dolphins score another TD again on a read options but htis time Tannehill kept the bal and run outside the RT to reach the end zone. Denver reacted adapting his offense to the aggressivness off the Dolphins defense and they killed them with quick slants and draws well rushed by C.J. Anderson. they also scored a receiving TD on a quick slant by Demaryius Thomas who is unstoppable on this kind of routes using his speed and size. Miami scored their 3rd TD of the 1st half after a drive characteryzed by short passes and also 3 fumbled footballs but fortunatly for them they didn't lose the possession of the football and they finished to score a TD due to the great throw made by Tannehill to Mike Wallace who was alligned on the slot than he followed his outside run to be the man coverage. We all know a minute is even more than Manning need to drive the ball down field even against a tough defense like the Dolphins and this happened and well finalyzed by Demaryius Thomas on an inside route in the end zone for his 2 TD of the game to end the 1st half with Denver just traailing by 4 points, 21-17.
Denver started with the ball the 2nd half, Manning took his team near the Dolphins red zone but they came out without any point because K McManus missed an easy FG from the Miami's 40 yards.
Dolphins' special teams after played a under average game vs Buffalo they recovered the possession of the ball on Denver's 12 yard line forcing a fumble during a punt. Miami's offense capitalyzed it in the best way possible scoring a TD on a slant to the rookie WR Landry. Denver reaction has been lead by the RB CJ Anderson who had an huge drive chosing well the holes and being patient, Manning has been a lil bit inaccurate on deep passes but he founded Demaryius Thomas in the endzone after a beautiful play-action fake, they converted by 2 points with another play-action to Sanders this time from the shotgun. The Broncos got the lead with a very good drive who saw Sanders and Anderson being the protagonists and has been Anderson to finish the drive in the endzone on a well executed draw running behin Orlando Franklin who madde a very powerful and accurate block to open up the hole.
TJ Ward the SS delivered the KO punch intercepting a pass deflected in the air intended for WR Landry and took the ball back right to Miami's 8 yard line. Manning punished Miami with another TD with a very well designed roll-out to his right and the pass has been a beauty right on Welker's hands to end the Dolphins hopes.
Miami proved that they are a very tough team right now and they played 3 great qurters in a such a difficult field like Denver but unfortunately for them they got tired due to the typical air deficit of Denver, their offense is very young but they have shown good improvements against a tough defense, on defensive side they did not bad but not enough to stop a machine called Peyton Manning. The Broncos needed desperately a win after a very bad loss in STL and they did but not in the dominat way we expected to see them at home, they played just a dominant quarter and it has been the 4th one when they scored 22 points to win the game, their defense came-up big when they needed more but globally they haven't been effective all game long conceding too much to a not brilliant Miami offense. I give my MVP trophy to RB CJ Anderson who has been great and help out so much Manning being effective on every single tun avoiding to lose yards. This has been a very funny pleasurable game to watch any every aspect of the game even on defense despiting the huge quantity of points scored.

NFL: San Francisco 49ers 3 Seattle Seahawks 19 recap and considerations

Levi's Stadium the home of the 49ers who host the Seahawks in a game that have a huge importance for both team plus of that it's also a huge rivarly game, one of the biggest rivarly in sport right now, 2 physical team who play tough and have the same objective.
The 1st 2 drives by both offenses resulted in nothing thanks to 2 very good defense who studied well their opponents, great job by both defensive coordinators to call the right play and this gave no choice to the offenses. Seattle's defense stop the 3rd SF's drive with a Sherman interception on a bad pass by Kaepernick who tried to hit Lloyd on a curl route but he missed completely the timing and it resulted in very good chance for the Hawks. Wilson found Baldwin on a crossing route for a gain of 24 yards that took Seattle right on SF's 10 yard line then they scored on a blow coverage on Turbin who received a swing pass out of the shotgun for the 1st TD of the game. Seattle's defense continue to play great and Wilson invented a magic under pressure to let TE Moeaki receive a soft pass after the pocket collapse for a great gain of 63 yards right to the SF 1 yard line but they didn't capitalyzed that great play failing to enter in the endzone due to a great goaline stand by the 9ers defense who has been so good inside to force Wilson to pass 2 times with bad results, Haushka made a 20 FG to give them a 10 point lead. Again Seattle's defense stop SF's offense and shown that they didn't find the key to open Seahawks defense to big plays able to keep the èass rushers away from Kaep, Turbin received again on similar pass who gave him the TD earlier and he got another big play but once again 9ers defense played great the shor yardage situations and limited Seattle to just another FG. SF's special teams went so closed to block Ryan's punt because he lost the handle of the football, all this happened near to the Seattle's endzone but somehow he has been able to regain the possession and kick away the ball, the 9ers tried to return the ball but Ricardo Lockette forced the fumble and let his teamates gain the possession of the football. 9ers defense continue to play outstanding and even thanks to a silly penalty on Lynch they stop Seahawks offense again. At the end of the 1st half Keap stats and all SF's offense one have been embarassing for a team who want to compete for the SB, they have been shutout at home in the first half and they've never been able to be dangerous.
The 2nd half started with the Seahawks in possession of the ball and they mached down the field this time running the bal with both Lynch and Turbin using their size, Seattle once again fall short of the endzone due to a penalty (a doubtful one for a pick in the endzone who canceled a Seahawks TD pass), by the way they scored other 3 points with an Haushka FG. The 9ers found their 1st 3 points of the game with a Dawson's 40 yards FG but they didn't arrive to kick it because of their offense but because Seahawks defense committed too many penalties who facilitated  Kaepernick's work so much. Seattle re-estabilished their 16 point lead in the following drive with a 47 yards Haushka's FG.
Seattle's defense seemed to have unlimited energies and rotating players in their front 7 they kept up yhe pressure on Kaep who missed another time the target and got pick off again by Sherman on Seattle's 31 yard line. Sherman 2nd interception of the game has been the K.O. play because after that Seattle run the ball well and chew the mojority of the time.
The 49ers have been booed with good reasons by their own fans, their offense is not even close to be a playoffs one and with all the potential they have made this situation even more disappointing. The absences on the defensive side have been fill in with good success especially by rokiie MLB Borland who is having a surprising season.
The Seahawks looked totally different to the ones wholost in KC few weeks ago, their defense returned to play great after a very very slow start of the season, everything or at least the most part of their success on defense depends of the pressure that they can put with the front 7 even to let their very good CBs be awesome CBs, all of this avoid to give opposite QBs to have the necessary time to wait their WRs get free from the pressure coverage 1 on 1 outside. On offense Seattle continue to improve, Wilson is more accurate and he takes better decisions with the huge help of the powerful Marshawn Lynch who tired every defense out to give the possibility to Wilson to scramble and be effective even on rushing the football. My MVP trophy goes to the entire Seahawks defense and in particulary to Rishard Sherman who confermed himself a 9ers killer.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys 10 Philadelphia Eagles 33 recap and considerations

The Eagles began the game running the football so much especially outside the tackles and the Cowboys inability to stop that kind of plays cost them a TD scored by Sanchez on a read option close to the Dallas' endzone. The 2nd Eagles' offensive drive has been even better than the 1st, they started inside their 10 yards to finish in the Cowboys endzone due to a receiving TD by Jordan Matthews without any problem. Romo lead Cowboys' reaction on well balanced drive finished by the duo Bryant-Murray when Bryant beat Fletcher 1 on 1 to get closer to the endzone and gave to Murray the chance on a short yardage to score their 1st TD of the game. Cowboys' defense seemed to have understand how stop Eagles' offense and they forced Sanchez on a 3rd and long situation after forced him to fumble due to a big pressure that made the pocket collapse but he came out big after finding Maclin on an outside seems to get an huge gain, once arrived close to the Cowboys endzone they haven't been able to score their 3rd straight TD an they cameout of that rive with 3 points to icrease their lead. Dallas' defense seemed a li bit tired an Phila run a no huddle offense with good results forcing them to commit multiple penalties and this fact facilitate the work for the Eagles to reach Cowboys redzone but they haven't been able to score a TD thanks to the great goaline stand by Dallas. The Cowboys tried to cut the eficit with 1:53 left in the 1st half without TOs but they failed and lost the ball with a Beasley fumble after a reception that gifted other 3 points to the Eagles.
Dallas started the 2nd half with a bad offensive possession and they have been forced to punt, Phila got the ball but it has been the shortest possession of their game because McCoy fumbled the ball that has been recovered by the Cowboys who wasted another possession due to ba play calling and even worse execution coming out with just 3 points. LeSean McCoy simply too good for a tired Dallas defense scored another TD on a over 20 yards run out of a draw, Eagles o-line made a great job to open up the holes to let McCoy run and beat everyone on the 2nd level with his quckness. The Cowboys again lost the ball on the following drive due to a bad off balance pass made by Romo intended to Terrence Williams but picke off by Carey Williams, Phila continue his attack on the ground with very good result, they reached the Cowboys when McCoy fumbled the ball again but fortunately for the Eagles he was down by contact, by the way they kicked with success with K Parkey who has been so consistent for them all season long. Phila's defense shut the door on the Cowboys hopes when they stopped short of the 1st down Murray's run on a draw in a 4th down situation.
The Dallas Cowboys have been completely dominated on both offense and defense, The Eagles seemed to have the triple of the energy of the Cowboys and the result has been a complete blowout. Romo inaccurancy afflicted his team so much but we haveto admit that his protection hasn't been one of the best. Eagles team deeserve lot of congratulations because the improved so much on their secondary and because of that they have been able to stop a guy Like Dez Bryant even thanks to the great pressure put up by their front 7. On offense a very very accurate Sanxhez has been able to drive his offense sucessfully all game long, good game also by Maclin who gained the necessary yards that he needed to reach for the 1st time in his career the 1000 yards target in a single season but the MVP has been an unstoppable LeSean McCoy who destroed Dallas defense with his speed and agility.

NFL: Thanksgiving day scouting matchups

Detroit Lions: Bush still out with ankle but i m sure Bell will have a very good game against a week run defense, Detroit defense must put pressure on Cutler becuase if it will happen he will commit turnovers, they also need to provide a good protection to Stafford because if he'll be able to pass down field to Megatron and Tate Chicago's secondary have no chance to stop them
vs
Chicago Bears: the last chance for them! they'll play against a team who has the best defense in the NFL that's why Trestman needs to use more play actions to confuse the Lions' defense, they also need to use Forte more on screens and in release routes because it won't be easy run against the tough Lions' front 7, Jeffery and Marshall's physical dominance will be a key to attack Lions' secondary and they need to do with short passes as the Patriots did last weeks, in defense Allen needs to step up and put huge pressure on Stafford because they have no chance to cover 2 of the best WRs in the game all around the field.

Dallas Cowboys: easy game plan for them, keep doing what they did all season long, if Romo will be well protected by the well improved leadd by the great rookie 1 round choice RG Martin, defensively they need to take McCoy of them game put 8 men in the box and let Sanchez be the playmaker to force him something he can't do (win the game by himself)
vs
Philadelphia Eagles: Avoid to fall in 3rd and long situation, if running game will not work as it happened in GB, put McCoy in the game with screens and passes, also target so many times the great Maclin who is having a great season for them, on defense Trent Cole will be the key player who needs to beat the tough Tyronn Smith, even if they can't shutdown Dallas offense they must produce turnovers.

SF 49ers: RUN, RUN and...RUN!!!! when they are effective of the ground they win in Harbough era, the stats say that if they will keep Kaep in the pocket the will play the Seattle's game and they will lose, running will keep Seattle's pass rushers away and they will lose their efficency, on defense they are great against the run and this is a great news because Seattle offense without Lynch is not good enough to beat this defense.
vs
Seattle Seahawks: don't lose patience to run, they need to tired out SF front 7 to attack their not great secondary, on defense i think they need to let Chancellor committed to the running game and let play Sherman and Maxell 1 on 1 with Crabtree and Boldin because they can cover them well due to their physical skills and if the apss rushers will be effective their work will be even easly, another thing is on't miss easy tackles as they did in KC.

NFL: New England Patriots 34 vs Detroit Lions 9 recap and considerations

2 of the best team in the league went face to face in Foxboro at Gillette Stadium, NE red hot in last weeks vs a Detroit team who seemed to slow down a lil bit due to injuries and a very tough schedule.
In the 1st offensive drive of them game Detroit targeted Tate so many times for good gains even because C.Johnson has been double covere right from the beginning with always a safety ready to help the CB right after Megatron got and advantage. Detroit scored 3 points on the 1st drive with a Prater's FG. Lions defense started well putting up great pressure on Brady but they begin to be in trouble when they haven't been able to keep the pressure on Brady, when it happen the Pats have been able to complete so many passes underneath because Lions' linebacker played too deep and they made Detroit defense paid for it finishing the drive with a Tim Collins TD.
The Lions tried to react an they came close to score a TD but they wasted a 1st and goal badly passing too much even it was a short yardage situation, Prater came out to the field to scre the 2nd Lions' FG. Pats' special team made great blocks to permit to Amendola to return the kick off deep in Lions' territory, this great return opened up another very good Pats' drive concluded with a rushing TD by the new but not so new Patriot RB LaGarrette Blount on a well designed draw. Detroit inability to pass the ball let them waste too many possessions and this is a thing absolutely to avoid to do in Foxboro. NE continue to attack in the same way and with very good result, Tim Collins scored another receiving TD lost in the end zone by Detroit's defense. The Lions tried to cut the deficit at the end of the 1st half but Prater missed the FG and NE made Detroit paid for it marching down the field in less then 30 seconds to reach a favourable position to let Gostowsky score 3 points on a good FG.
In the 2nd half  Detroit seemed to change the game with their defense that has been able to pick off Brady in their red-zone on a typical Gronkowsky inside route wel covered by SS Ihedigbo. Detroit offensive struggle continue and this fact put up lot of pressure on their defense who has been so much time on the field but they have been able to still effective when they limited NE to another FG, by the way the Lions defense continue to had no idea how to stop inside passes for both TEs and WRs.
The problems for Detroit didn't finish with their defense because great job by the Pats on alternate coverages to confuse Stafford and it worked, he had the worst complete % of his career and he made too many bad decisions an also too many times he scrambled to the left side something to avoid if you are a right handed QB, Logan Ryan interceptions closed the game definitely.
Another win by the New England Patriots who are playing great on offense and defense, Brady seems to have found the right connection with his WRs and also with the former Buc TE Tim Collins, their defense is not the best but of course 1 of the best coached with a great gameplan well adapted and personalyzed on every opponent. The Detroit Lions when they will return heatly i'm sure they will be a really tough team, they just need to improve a lil bit in pass protection, their defense is argubly the best in the NFL and a point of strenght. The MVP of the match for me has been Darrelle Revis because of his great coverage man to man against both Tata and Megatron.

MLB: Red Sox off-season acquisitions recap and considerations

With their absolutely wild and up and down stretch of 38 months, where Boston endured their 2 worst seasons since the early 1960's, Ben Cherington and the Red Sox front office needed to restore hope in Sox nation and for this, the Boston Red Sox made a huge splash yesterday, landing two of the top bats of the free agent market. Pablo Sandoval, the long time Giants signed a 5 year 95 Million deal and will be the 3rd base of the future in Beantown. Along with the signature of the venezuelian guy, the Sox repordly agree with former Marlins ans Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez for a same type of contract of 90 Millions over 5 year. This two signing could be done a lot because of the mega deal with the Dodgers back in August 2012, when they parted away with Gonzalez, Crawford and Beckett. With this move, Boston unloaded more than 260 Million dollars, dollars who are now given to "Kung Fu Panda" and Ramirez.
After a terrible 2014 season, where Boston finished at the bottom of the East Division, the team who won it all 2 seasons ago needed new guys with fresh minds to bring back the BoSox in the mix for the crown. And right now, the lineup of John Farrell is plenty deep and could very be one of the best in the MLB. We have a good mix of old and reliable guys with the great Pedroia, the veteran David Ortiz, the powerful 1B Napoli and also a mix of young talents with the high rated SS from Aruba Xander Bogaerts, the utility guy Holt, OF and IF Mookie Betts or again with the cuban sensation, Rusney Castillo, who cost 72.5 Million. With that you still have the powerful OF Yoenis Cespedes, the 1B/OF Allen Craig and the leadoff guy Shane Victorino : yes the power will not be an issue and
runs will rain in Fenway Park. One thing to know is that Boston is scheduled to move Hanley to LF, to make room for Bogaerts in the starting lineup. Along with this, the super defender in LF Cespedes will certainly move to CF or to RF. The only mess is a good catcher, to help at the plate but too on the pitching with good calls and gameplan.
Ok ok, so the lineup is strong, but what about the pitching ? Yes, this is maybe the most important and needed thing in baseball and we saw that in the 2014 postseason, with two under-average offenses who reach the World Series with tremendous pitching and bullpen arms. And on the pitching side, the Sox are not as good as their bats. Lester and Lackey left at the deadline last season, Buchholz is up and down and he's crush by injuries, Joe Kelly and Rubby De La Rosa are young and inexperienced. The bullpen is pretty good with the 2 japanese arms, Uehara and Tazawa but the lost of the lefty Miller is huge and guys like Mujica or Workman are too hittable. So, after landing two very good bats, Boston needs pitching to get in to the hunt for a postseason berth. And a trade for a guy like Cole Hamels could very possible soon, with Philly looking for OF and Boston needing big time starter : the BoSOx are plenty deep with OF and maybe get Allen Craig, Daniel Nava and a pair of prospects could be done. There is also a big possibility to land a top free agent pitcher, for exemple the long time Sox Jon Lester or maybe a James Shields, who know to picth well in this very toft division.
So, Boston will be back in the mix in 2015 but to be the best team in the MLB, they need this extra pitcher to pitch 7 strong innings every 6 days.
A possible look at the 2015 Red Sox lineup : Victorino (CF); Pedroia (2B); Ortiz (DH); Ramirez (LF); Cespedes (RF); Sandoval (3B); Napoli (1B); Bogaerts (SS); Vazquez (C)

NFL: New Orleans Saints 27 Baltimore Ravens 34 recap and considerations

Saints offense explode in the 1st drive with a well designed reverse run for WR Morgan who run the ball for 67 yards but they cameout from that with just nothing thanks to the impenetrable Ravens' defense, after that the Ravens marched down the field without any problem and very well finished by veteran Steve Smith who scored a spectacular TD 1on 1 outside again the rookie CB. Not even finished the 1st quarter and Josh Morgan complete another 60+ yards this time on the air bring his team to Baltimore's 10 yard line and then Brees Found open Jimmy Graham for the game tyin TD. Smith sr isoleted 1 on 1 outside punished the Ravens again for another big play on a fly route but his team lost the ball due to FB Juszkzyk's fumble after a reception. Saints inability to run the ball effectively made then too predictable and Baltimore got the ball back and they immediatley found Torrey Smith on a crossing route for a big play and Forsett scored a TD after multiple straight runs. Saints secondary struggled especially on man coverage outside thus far and with the exit of DT bunkley due to an injury even the defense against the run begin to have huge problems. New Orleans offense is not anymore the Great we were habituated to see especially at home and they has been limited to just a FG by a tough especially with the front 7 Baltimore's defense. Galette's 1st sack gave the Saints a chance to score again before then end of the 1st half and Brees has been finally the Brees we know, leading his team to a TD, a TD score by Colston on a vertical seem even thanks to rookie safety Brooks who commited and huge error who cost them not just the TD but even a possible interception, this play shows the problems of Ravens secondary already happen before this season. The Ravens started the 2nd half with a drive characteryzied by long 3rd down conversions and a brawl between Steve Smith and Kenny Vaccaro, that drive brought the Ravens 3 point with a Tucker's FG from the 38 yard line. Brees 13th turnover of the season on an interception returned for a TD by Will Hill who was covering a shallow cross route by Jimmy Graham on an obviously pass situation on 3rd and 7, after the TD Baltimore went for 2 and they got it. Flacco continued to beat the Saints defense on 3rd down with both his mobility and accurancy but Gallette has been able to stop him putting up great pressure and force Tucker to cameout on the field to kick a 55 yards FG that he has been able to realize. Brees again started fast the Saints drive but again he fell short of the TD missing passes and plays usually automatics for them and they have been forced to kick another FG. Ravens let run Forsett who had another big play for 25 yards and with Saints' defense showing no improvements against the run the Ravens didn't stop to ride Forsett who scored a 20 yards rushing TD to bring the Ravens ahead 34-20 with 2:50 left in the game. Down by 14 points Brees scored 7 points in 1 minute isolating Graham 1 on 1 for a 3 yards TD pass. New Orleans tried the onside kick recover but they failed it and the result is 3rd straight loss for the Saints and 7th win of the season for the Ravens. New Orleans offense continue to struggle, their offensive line is not able to give Brees a good protection and most of all not able to let their RBs run with consistence. A good news exist for the Saints and it's that Marcus Coltson looked great and they need this Colston if they wanna reach the playoffs, on the defensive side New Orleans has been so bad just Junior Gallette played well putting pressure on Flacco. The Saints still in the race due to a very weak division but if they wanna do something good in this season they need to improve in every aspect of the game.
Baltimore looked like a very solid typical Ravens' team, with strenght on the running game on offense and a very tough front 7 that has been able to destroy opponests' running game and put a great pressure on Brees with their outside linebacker Suggs and Dumervil but they still have issues on their secondary especially on safeties. On offense the "Saints' Killer" Steve Smith combined with Justin Forsett who has been the MVP of the game with 182 rushing yards with 2 TDs and 8 reception's yards had a great contribution on Ravens win.

NFL San Diego Chargers 27 St. Louis Rams 24 recap and considerations

The surprising Rams Travelled to SD strong of a very very good and unaspectated win at home over the Broncos, the Chargers with an injuried rivers were in a must win situation to keep the pace of the playoffs teams in the AFC.
Rams 1st drive has been a complete disaster because Hill got intercepted by Flowers on an outside pass that has been to soft but SD hasn't been able to capitalyze it and they cameout just with a FG.
The Rams has been dominant the following drive rushing the ball showing good inside power even thanks to Chargers' soft front 7 but they got better in the goaline stand and let the Rams just tie the game with a FG.The Chargers put up a Great drive with runs and short passes that produced big plays but Rivers wasted everything throwing an interception right to CB Jenkins who returned it for 100 Yard to the Chargers end zone for the 1st Rams' TD. SD inability continue 'till the end of the 1st half that has been concluded with a Novak 48 yards FG but this Changed in the 2nd half when Ryan Mathews scored a rushing TD on a well designed draw out of the shotgun. The Chargers seemed to be going to end the game soon when their rushers put pressure on Hill and made him fumble the football recovered and returned into Rams' endzone by LB A.Gackhar. STL's offense completely unable to put a up good numbers and forced to punt the football again but against SD missed a great chance when a special team player run into Allen was called a fair catch and the result was Rams' ball and they didn't wait to punish SD's mistake scoring a rushing TD with WR Tavon Austin on a well designed end around. Rivers lead his team to the Rm' 20 yard line but Keenan Allen lost the ball tryin to do too much after a great catch and the Rams recovered it but they've been unable to punish again SD, so the Chargers had another chance to increase their lead, it started from their 7 yard line and Chargers' offense put on the longest drive of the season (93 yards) well finalyzed this time by Allen receiving TD thanks to the great job by Rivers to read as the best it can be done all the blitzes the Rams used on that drive. Hill answered great with a fast rive and the Rams has been score their 24th point of the game thanks to a Bailey receiving TD on a fade route in the end zone and under just by 3 they stop SD on a 3 and out an gave their offense the chance to tie or win the game even because Tavon Austin returned the ball on SD's 40 yard line. STL seemed to don't want jost to tie it but even to win it avoiding an OT against a very good offense like the Chargers' one and they were so close to do it when Kenny Britt cought an Hill's pass in SD's 3 yards but they wasted everything when Marcus Gilchrist picked Hill off in the end zone.
SD played a great game if you don't count the stupid mistake they made, similiars to the ones that cost they the game in AZ in week 1, to be SB contenders they MUST avoid to complicate their games by themself, for the rest they looked good especially with a tough opponest like the Rams, the same Rams who haven't able to capitalyze completely the Chargers mistake committing a bigger one at the end of the game when Rams' coaching stuff decide to pass on 3 yard line against a not so great 3-4 defense against the run all game long, by the way they nee to improve in QB position and also in blitzing and putting the pressure on opposite QB's. Another great news for the Chargers is that Mathews cameback great and if he'll stay healty their running game is one of the best in the NFL.
My MVP for this match is Mathews counting that he played against a very good defense against opponest RBs.

NFL: NY Giants 28 Dallas Cowboys 31 recap and cosiderations

The Cowboys arrived to the Meadowlands aknowledge that they must win because the Eagles won earlier vs the Titans. After a Cowboys 3 and out Eli has been so accurate on his passes especially on slant and crossing route for his WRs and they reached the endzone on a 3rd and goal Beckham rec TD on a slant route who got free into the Dallas zone defense. Dallas limited to just a FG thanks to a TD saving tackle by Jason PP  on a Well designed toss for Murray who was trying to hot the weakest point of the Giants defense (run outside the tackles). good signs for Dallas because Romo seemed healty. Giants inability to run is not a problem because Manning started so Great and Beckham scored an amazing one handed TD catch despite a huge pass interference by the DB who was coverimg him out of a Great play action fake. The Cowboys reacted Great with a balanced drive Well finalyzed by a Witten's TD who run into the endzone after he catched a shuffle pass by Romo. Giants continue to play Great on offense drive the ball down field thanks to the first good runs of the game and an unstoppable Beckham who has been involved in every situation possible, a controversial call kept the ball on Giants hands and they scored a rushing TD with RB Williams. Both defense finished strong putting up sacks and stop the opposite offense. Cole Beasley scored the 1st 7 points of the 2nd half faking a slant and cameback to receive the pass by Romo then he avoided 3 tackles to score an over 30 yards TD. Eli has been good again to drive his team down field but he commited his 1st mistake of the game being intercepted passing to WR Parker who was runnin a crossing route, Barry Curvh pocket the ball off and returned it till midfield; the Cowboys made them pay immediately with an huge play for a receiving TD by Dez Bryant on a crossing route for over 40 yards. Beckham jr. exited the following drive after a hard hit received on his back but the Giants drove the ball well down field thanks to many 3rd down conversion by Manning who selected well the receiver to throw to an the right moment, also RB Jennings improved so much in 4th quarter and help his team to fill the absence of their go to guy, Manning ended that drive regaining the lead throwing a TD pass to TE Robinson on a goaline powerful formation rolling out on a play-action pass.
Romo's great ability to stay in the pocket moved the ball down field thanks to the awesome work by his o-line especially by Tyronn Smith vs JPP who has been a pleasurable matchup to watch all night long, Romo throw another TD to Bryant after a very effective pup fake who confused some DBs of the Giants. With 1:01 the Giants had the possession to win or tie the game but they failed a way short missing a 4th down conversion even if Beckham cameback on the field.
The Cowboys shown a great reaction to the early deficit but i expected more from them, i don't wanna say that Giants are an awful team but a team with the expectations of Dallas must dominate this kind of teams, they had a slow start and with playoffs team they couldn't have the chance to comeback. By the way their o-line is so good lead by LT Smith and RG Martin who is playing an awesome season in his rookie year and this kind of protection and blocks  Dallas' offense is near to be unstoppable.
I give my personal congratulations to the Giants who played an awesome 1st half without any mistake and very good  performance all game long, the best thing for them has been the great connection beyween Eli and Odell Beckham jr who played an awesome game and left everyone shocked with an unbelievable 1 handed catch for a TD. Giants' defense has been very good in the 1st half but the pressure and the problems on the offensive side tired them out and they give up too many big pays especially on passing situations.

MLB season recap team by team analysis

In this post i'll analyze team by team the result that they got and i'll rate the, from F to A++.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

East

Baltimore Orioles: A- / Great Regular season but the absences conditionated them too much in the championship.
NY Yankees: B / They failed playoffs target in last season of Derek Jeter because of so many injuries due too an old roster but their 84 victories despite the injuries can be considered a good result.
Toronto Blue Jays; B- / As it happened in last 2 seasons they started fast but they failed to keep up the pace to reach playoffs, they need to improve the bullpen to be a playoffs team next season.
TB Rays; E / Maddon's magic finished this season and the limits of this team emerged but none could pretend more to this group of players.
Boston Red Sox: F / They finished last in their division as defending championship with just 71 win.

Central

Detroit Tigers: B+ / They won their division but they stop very short of their actual target
KC Royals: A++ / AMAZING...arrived just 1 game short to the WS title, none would aspect something like that at the begin of the season
Cleveland Indians: B / They did exactly what everyone aspect from them
Chicago White Sox: C / Another bad season for the with just 73 wins but at least they had a pleasurable surprise by Jose Abreu who had a great season
Minnesota Twins: D / I can sume them in Mauer plus too many players not good enough or not ready yet to play in the majors.

West

LA Angels: A- / Great regular season with the best record in the MLB but disappointing playoffs due to the blowout against the surprising Royals
Oakland A's: B+ / The same "money ball" story of every year, they committed the error to made wrong choices about sacrificing too many bats to get too many starting pitchers
Seattle Mariners: A- / 87 wins and just 1 away from the wild card spot, they did well and it's only the beginning from them
Houston Astros: C+ / A very young team who got better if u compare them to thier version of the year before but lot of working need to be done there to be competitive
Texas Rangers: F / An awful season for them initiated by the wrong choice to trade Kinsler for Fielder and finished with the longest IR list i have ever seen

NATIONAL LEAGUE

East

Washington Nationals: B+ / Good regular season showing improvements but their rie ended in SF against the Giants, they need to improve especially at the plate with the battting average
Atlata Braves; C- / They had one of their worst season in last 25 years and it's because of a lack of batting AVG and also because their rotation got weaker than the years before
NY Mets: B / they shown improvements but they need to put at least 1 good starter and 2 solid bats in the lineup
Miami Marlins: B / even without Fernandez they played a very good season above their potential
Philadelphia Phillies: D / a complete disappointmentthey need to find new good players to put next to Hamels Utley and Howard, because i think the duo Utley and Howard if gealty can still put up very good number for them. Salary cap problems still and that's why they ll not able to sign free agents

Central

STL Cardinals: A / Another very very good season for them even with lot of young players on the field and i'm sure they can do only better in next years keeping this team and even if they lost the championship the had good run even in the playoffs
Pittsburgh Pirates: B+ / 88 wins and an elimination on a wild card game is a good result for them
Milwaukee Brewers: C+ / great starts and a blackout at the end that made them fall in the standings, the disappointment is high for them after being sure to win the divison at the half part of the season
Cincinnati Reds: D / a season to forget for them, Cueto the only positive note, too many injuries to compete
Chicago Cubs: C / very young team with such a bad start bad so many improvements at the end of the season when they fot even the 1st winning month after long time

West

LA Dodgers: B / they have been eliminated by the Cards after a very good regular season but it s not enough for a team built to win spending so much.
SF Giants: A+ / they are the WS champions, not a great regular season but a great playoffs run
SD Padres: B- / above of their expectations and showing good young talents who could bring them to another level
Colorao Rockies: D+ / they still can't find a good rotation to support the great lineup they ve and too many injuried players like in every recent season for them
AZ D-backs: E / without Goldy they can't produce anything offensevely but at least they found good talents in Peralta and Pollock

NFL: Oakland Raiders 24 KC Chiefs 20 recap

The Raiders hosted the Chiefs try to win their 1st game since more than 1 year and the Chiefs to get the lead of their division. Chiefs not good to stop the tun tonight
Oakland defense started fast and well disciplinated forcing KC to a opening 3 and out but Raiders offense hasn't done the same in the 1st drive but they learnt from their mistakes and at the 2nd chance they went right to the end zone scoring a TD with Latavius Murray who has been the 1 player to score a rushing TD against Chiefs defense this season, Derek Carr played safe all drive long targeting WRs especially outside with curl routes for short yardage but with great success.
KC struggled inb the 1st quarter to estabilish the runnin game because Oakland's defense every single down put at least 7 players to the line of screemage to cover every holes to stop Charles and this shown that Chiefs' passing game depends too much by their running game because it's based on read-options, play actions and screens but not to obviusly pass situations where they must produce something out of the shootgun. Raiders' defense also very attent in coverage never let Charles be alone out of the backfield to receive any passes.
Oakland shocked everyone scoring a 90 yards rushing TD by L.Murray on a beautiful designed counter run and even better executed by entire o-line who created the space to let Murray cut back in the backfield and find the hole to go all the way to the endzone.
With the Chiefs not able to be dangerous on offense the Raiders committed an huge error with the PR Moore missing to receive a punt a let the Chiefs start inside Raiders 15 yards but fortunately for them KC has been able just to cameout with a FG made by Santos under an heavy rain.
The 1st half ended with a great Raiders defense who has been dominant and done a great job to not just stop Chiefs defense but make them lose yards so many times.
Latavius Murray will not return in the 2nd half due to a concussion after being hit right to the head at the end of the 1st half. DB Charles Woodson looked like the 1 we saw in Green Bay for so many years, playing not only in coverage as we are used to see him in recent years but also blitzing and playing close to the line of screemage showing great tackles and knowledge anticipating Chiefs' intentions. Oakland put other 3 point with a Janikowsky FG after a decent offensive drive lead by McFadden's runs. The Chiefs reacted the domination of the Raiders defense with a drive characteryzed by lot of passes who has been finished by with a receiving TD by TE Anthony Fasano.
Under by just 7 points the Chiefs put up their best drive of the night with Alex Smith able to complete 8 straight passes and lead his team to a game tying TD with a receiving TD by Charles who cameout of the backfield right inside the number and made miss 3-4 tackles with his awesome agility and elusivness to reach the endzone.
KC got their 1st lead of the night 20-17 after another Santos FG. Oakland tired to react, during that drive they converted a 4th down with a QB sneak then marched down the field especially riding FB Marcell Reece on the running game and with 1:42 left in the game Carr's TD pass to James Jones who got free thanks to a very good double move. KC had a last chance to win the game and they started to their 40 yard line thanks to a great return by DeAnthony Thomas but without timeouts Smith hasn't been able to overcome the midfield line.
The Raiders finally got their 1st win in over an year thanks to a great performance by their defense lead by an awesome Khalil Mack the rookie who has been able to be effective in all the aspects of the game, coach Sparano used him all around the line of screemage to stop the runs, cover the passes and rush the passes. David Carr got his 1st NFL win thanks to the good accurancy he shown all game long, throwing so hard and able to target lot of receivers. The Chiefs shown all their limits especially on offense, even the defensive played bad showing weakness to stop the runs and not being able to cover the short routes. Alex Smith targeted his WRs so few times even if he had a good size matchup outside against shorter Raiders CBs. Raiers players and fans cheered their win like a Super Bowl one and after 5 straight good performances they've been able to finish strong and got a win. The MVPs of this games are Latavius Murray and Khalil Mack.
