NFL: Miami Dolphins 22 Buffalo Bills 9 recap

The Thursday noght of week 11 was a divisional game between the Dolphins and the Bills, it was also a must win game for both team to keep playoffs hopes alive. Buffalo traveledto Miami without both starting RBs Spiller and Jackson  against 1 of the best defense in the NFL especially at home.
Miami had the 1st possession of the game and they came out with just a FG after being good to mix runs and passes and also the players involved in them but their struggle to finalyze drive to TDs continued even in the 1st half of this game. The Billas answered the Dolphins in the same way with a FG  thanks to WR Hogan in key 3rd down conversions. After another dimilar drive Miami reached Bills' endzone but this time it finished even worse for them with a Tannehill's fumble forced by FS Aaron Williams and recovered by DE Jerry Hughes. Buffalo did another similar drive to the 1st and finished in the same way. The 1st half ended with the Bills ahead 6-3 thanks to the great performance by their defense and their passrushers (the best group in the NFL this season and 1st in sacks) lead by LE Mario Williams.
We needed to wait to end of the 3rd quarter to see the 1st TD of the game, a TD scored by Brandon Gibson on an outside run play-action fake on a cross route, cross routes have been so effective in that dirve even with Brian Hartline's big play. In the next drive the Bills have been in trouble with field position in the following drive and Dolphins defense came out with a 2 point safety due to an intentional groundind happened in the Bills' own endzone, safety calla are not rewievable, watkins was 7 -8 yards too far away from the throw and he probably missed the route, Orton's pass under pressure in the pocket has been a il bit far from the target and broadcasters had doutbs about the call madde by the refs but the expert of cbs said good call by the refs esplaining miss-route are not an excuse to throw in a no men's land and that 7-8 yards are too many to be considered in the zone, free kick by Buffalo fumbled and recovered by Robey on Miami's 39 yard line but the Biills wasted that possession with a missed game tying FG by former Dolphin Dan Carpenter. Miami's good job moving the ball down the field taking advantage of good field position score a TD on a very short curl route outside to Landry who use his body well to reach the end zone, another doubtful call let the Dolphins score in this drive on pass interference on Bills' secondary covering Wallace.
The refs have been too hard to call hughes' unsportmalike conduct after the 4th Bills' sack, Orton's missed 4th down conversion that closed the game out and gave the ball to the Dolphins on Buffalo's red zone who lead Sturgis FG.
Mario Williams has been my MVP for this game making 3,5 sack, Bills' defense challeged the Dolphins to throw the ball down the field 1 on 1 putting up so many men at the line of screemage. Both teams played a low risk balanced offense avoiding long passes down the field, both team also dropped to many possible interception. Kyle Orton's inability to be dangerous throwing the ball along with RBs absence (even if Brycw Brown played good) cost the the game. Miami very important win but they still need to improve on offense.
