NFL: New Orleans Saints 27 Baltimore Ravens 34 recap and considerations

Saints offense explode in the 1st drive with a well designed reverse run for WR Morgan who run the ball for 67 yards but they cameout from that with just nothing thanks to the impenetrable Ravens' defense, after that the Ravens marched down the field without any problem and very well finished by veteran Steve Smith who scored a spectacular TD 1on 1 outside again the rookie CB. Not even finished the 1st quarter and Josh Morgan complete another 60+ yards this time on the air bring his team to Baltimore's 10 yard line and then Brees Found open Jimmy Graham for the game tyin TD. Smith sr isoleted 1 on 1 outside punished the Ravens again for another big play on a fly route but his team lost the ball due to FB Juszkzyk's fumble after a reception. Saints inability to run the ball effectively made then too predictable and Baltimore got the ball back and they immediatley found Torrey Smith on a crossing route for a big play and Forsett scored a TD after multiple straight runs. Saints secondary struggled especially on man coverage outside thus far and with the exit of DT bunkley due to an injury even the defense against the run begin to have huge problems. New Orleans offense is not anymore the Great we were habituated to see especially at home and they has been limited to just a FG by a tough especially with the front 7 Baltimore's defense. Galette's 1st sack gave the Saints a chance to score again before then end of the 1st half and Brees has been finally the Brees we know, leading his team to a TD, a TD score by Colston on a vertical seem even thanks to rookie safety Brooks who commited and huge error who cost them not just the TD but even a possible interception, this play shows the problems of Ravens secondary already happen before this season. The Ravens started the 2nd half with a drive characteryzied by long 3rd down conversions and a brawl between Steve Smith and Kenny Vaccaro, that drive brought the Ravens 3 point with a Tucker's FG from the 38 yard line. Brees 13th turnover of the season on an interception returned for a TD by Will Hill who was covering a shallow cross route by Jimmy Graham on an obviously pass situation on 3rd and 7, after the TD Baltimore went for 2 and they got it. Flacco continued to beat the Saints defense on 3rd down with both his mobility and accurancy but Gallette has been able to stop him putting up great pressure and force Tucker to cameout on the field to kick a 55 yards FG that he has been able to realize. Brees again started fast the Saints drive but again he fell short of the TD missing passes and plays usually automatics for them and they have been forced to kick another FG. Ravens let run Forsett who had another big play for 25 yards and with Saints' defense showing no improvements against the run the Ravens didn't stop to ride Forsett who scored a 20 yards rushing TD to bring the Ravens ahead 34-20 with 2:50 left in the game. Down by 14 points Brees scored 7 points in 1 minute isolating Graham 1 on 1 for a 3 yards TD pass. New Orleans tried the onside kick recover but they failed it and the result is 3rd straight loss for the Saints and 7th win of the season for the Ravens. New Orleans offense continue to struggle, their offensive line is not able to give Brees a good protection and most of all not able to let their RBs run with consistence. A good news exist for the Saints and it's that Marcus Coltson looked great and they need this Colston if they wanna reach the playoffs, on the defensive side New Orleans has been so bad just Junior Gallette played well putting pressure on Flacco. The Saints still in the race due to a very weak division but if they wanna do something good in this season they need to improve in every aspect of the game.
Baltimore looked like a very solid typical Ravens' team, with strenght on the running game on offense and a very tough front 7 that has been able to destroy opponests' running game and put a great pressure on Brees with their outside linebacker Suggs and Dumervil but they still have issues on their secondary especially on safeties. On offense the "Saints' Killer" Steve Smith combined with Justin Forsett who has been the MVP of the game with 182 rushing yards with 2 TDs and 8 reception's yards had a great contribution on Ravens win.
