NFL: Indianapolis Colts 20 New England Patriots 42 recap

The Pats made the Colts 3 and out on the very 1st drive and then they destroyed the Colts defense with runs over runs with a great job of entire line an TEs to block and the finalyzed it with a dive TD scored by Gray. Reggie Wayne leading the charge by Indy with 3 straight receptions thanks to his running route ability but they came out to that drive just with a FG because the didn't estabilish the running game due to a super Pats defense inside lead by DT Wilfork. Gray looked on fire running with great success but Brady threw a pass in the middle right after have seen the cover 2 but he was hit at the line on throwing process and he was intercepted by veteran safety Mike Adams. Colts offense continued to be unabe to run the football with consistency and that made them predictable and Pats' picked Luck off with Devin McCourthy on a eflected ball by Revis on Wayne. NE typical kind of drive with runs and lot fo play-actions adding o-lineman or TEs open up the way to another Gray inside power TD. Brady terrible off balance pass intercepted by Adams on NE's 23 yard line. The Colts have been able to capitalyze this mistake scoring to a goaline fade route to Hakeem Nicks who used his size over the shorter CB Ryan. Brady and the Pats back on track drive well the ball down field and they regained a 10 point lead with a Brady 2 yards TD pass to TE Tim Wright. Colts answered with a decent drive thanks again to the "Immortal" Reggie Wayne who has been able to catch the ball in all zones of the field and against every coverage on every possible route but they still can't run and this limit them so much against a very well coached defense like the Pats' one Wayne is not the only immortal in Colts' roster because the drive has been concluded with a 53 yards FG by Adam Vinatieri who made it without a problem. The Pats tried to take off with a great drive where Brady completed 3 jey 3rd down pass to extended the drive both on routes started inside and finished outside 1 to LaFell and the other to Gronkowsky, the Colts' killer Jonas Gray finished the drive with his 3rd rushing TD to tie all time Pats record for a regular season game. The Colts reacted with a drive characterized by 2 great catch outside by TE Fleener for 2 big plays, Colts' issues to rush the ball continued especially when Collins knocked the bal out of Bradshaw's hands but fortunately for Indy he was able to recover it then Luck converted a 4th down passing the ball to Bradshaw who gained the 1st and goal, Indy scored on a 3rd and goal with a play action pass to o-lineman Anthony Castonzo (elegible to receive) after 2 straight inside zone runs by bradshaw who came close to score. Indy's defense completely unable to stop NE's offense and it resulted in the 4th Gray's TD for a new Pats' recor for a regular season game. Colts failed to convert 4th down on their 29 yard line and Gronkowsky powerful run after a short reception gave the Pats the TD they needed to close out the game definitely. Indy entered this game like best 3r down defense at home but they were so far to their standards and in general their defense play such a bad game even thanks to the great preparation by the Pats, indy's MLB has been unable to stop the run and shed the well placed NE's blocks, NE suffered inside to outside routes, the most important difference between the 2 teams has been the Pats able to run and the Colts couldn't. The Pats Browner on Hilton at line of screemage then helped by the safety McCourthy on a double coverage down field and let Revis play 1 on 1 with Wayne. The Pats deserved to win and Luck losing streak against them continue but Brady hasn't play good this time and he needs to be back on track because running game helped him so much but it can't be always ike that. Coach Pagano needs to work so much with the o-line to re-estabilish the running game that completed ruined Colts' offense. The MVP of the game goes to RB Jonas Gray who dominated the Colts defense all game long.
