NFL: Atlanta Falcons vs Pittsburgh Steelers matchup analysis

Coming off a big win in Cincy last week, the Steelers take their show to Georgia to play the Falcons on sunday afternoon, Falcons who lost in Green Bay last monday despite a superb offensive effort. Atlanta is still tied with the Saints at the top of the NFC South, when to Pittsburgh they are tied with Baltimore and San Diego in the AFC Wild Card race with 8 wins and 5 losses.
If Atlanta wants to have any chances do win this football game, they need their defense to finally show up, as they will face maybe the best QB-RB-WR tandem in the NFL, with Big Ben, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. Bell is maybe the best back in the league right now, as he’s capable to run and catch the football. He’s a beast at waiting behind his blockers and started to accelerate when the breach is open. The former Spartans is right now over 1.900 scrimmage yards and he will face maybe the worst defense in the country, the Falcons one. So Atlanta needs guys like LB Worrilow, DE Babineaux or DT Jackson to be at the top of their game, as CB Trufant will have a tough task against maybe the best WR of the season, Antonio Brown. On offense, well Matt Ryan is coming off a superb game, with almost 400 yards passing and 4 TD, but and that would be the key in this game, his favorite target, the guy who had more than 240 yards last monday, WR Julio Jones will be a game time decision. Without him, Roddy White will have to show up and RB Jackson will have to be good, especially to create short 3rd down conversion for his QB.
The Steelers have too some problems on the defensive end, as they are struggling in the red zone. If WR Jones is not playing, well this would be easiest for the Pittsbugh backs, but Ryan is a good QB at reading blitz, blitz that are very liked by the Steelers, highlighted by SS Polamalu for exemple. If they coutain Steven Jackson, Dick LeBeau and his defense will win this game I think, as the deep play action that Ryan liked will be eliminated. On offense, Mike Tomlin crew has just to let RB Bell own the football, as he will face a very bad Falcons D, especially against the run. Big Ben has the opportunity to create big plays to his WR Brown and Bryant, and with the overall mistakes of the Falcons D, I think he will thrive in the game.
Im going with the Steelers, as two great and fun offense will face off, but overall, Pittsburgh is better. This will be a really fun game, with I think a lot of big plays, especially if WR Jones could go. RB Bell will be for me the MVP of this game, with WR Martavis Bryant as the X Factor, as the rookie is the long shot target to Big Ben.
