NFL Wild Card: Minnesota Vikings 9 Seattle Seahawks 10 recap and analysis

The Vikings started this ice cold game with the ball and even if they played a good offense they haven't been able to put up points, something that they did on their second drive thanks to a mistake by the Seahawks long snapper who snapped the ball low on Ryan who tried to run for a first down but he has been stopped on their 20 yards where Minnesota started his drive ended by a FG to end the first quarter, a first quarter that saw the home team in completely control with 12 minutes of ball possession thanks to short, quick passes and runs between the tackles. After 10 minutes of domination by both defense the visitors tried to convert a 4th and 13 inside the Vikings' 30 instead kick a FG and they failed remaining without a point on the board. The first half ended 3-0 for the home team and it has been heavily conditioned by the weather not only in the score but also in the gameplays.
The third quarter continued in the same way of the first two an the Vikings scored twice, two FGs that arrived thanks an old style game plan by Zimmer who wanted his team to play safe with short routes (sticks, slants, ecc), on the ground he let Peterson run the ball a lot of times even if against the Seahawks is tough to run. Seattle scored for the first time in the game on their first drive in the fourth quarter thanks to a great play of Wilson at midfield who recovered a miss snap that arrived 20 yards away from him and transformed it in a first down to Lockett who was open down field, since that play Wilson seemed to have found his rhythm, the result has been good movement of the ball on the air and a TD on a stick route to Baldwin to cut the lead. On the very next drive Peterson lost a fumble forced by Chancellor after the pro bowl HB received it and tried a spin move keeping the ball with just 1 hand (as he usually do), the result has been Seattle's ball on the Vikings' 20 yards, later in that drive Hauschka made a FG from the 47 to give his team the lead. The Vikings had a huge chance to win thanks to two great plays by Rudolph, the first one he draws a penalty for pass interference and the second has been a great reception on a OUT route to beat the man coverage of Chancellor, once on the 10 yard line Walsh kicked and missed a 27 harder that would give his team the win, maybe the error has been committed by the holder who let his kicker kick the football by the laces or maybe just the pressure killed Walsh.
This is been an amazing game despite the weather condition, both defenses played very well on every aspect and i m sorry to say that but the team who played better lost, on the other side the most expert team played a good game and their opportunistic mentality along with their toughness especially to don't panic let them win the game.
