NFL: Philadelphia Eagles 39 NO Saints 17 recap and analysis

The game started with both teams having issues to move the ball down the field especially on the ground where both defense won the battle on the line of scrimmage, at their second offensive possession the Eagles seemed to could score at least 3 after a good drive moving the ball with short passes but Bradford once in the redzone  missed his target in the endzone throwing too short and got picked by Browner who used his size to make the play. On the following play the Saints offense improved on running game in this allowedthem to be effective on playactions passes thanks to that mix they had no problem to came close to Phila's endzone and there Brees moved his TE Watson outside that none covered and the result has been a NO's TD. The hometeam tried to tied it after a good drive moving the ball on the air but once close to the endzone they complicated their lives due to a offensive pass interference on a pick play then Bradford tried to pass the ball on his WR who beat the CB inside but Breaux made a great play intercepting the ball in a very diffcult spot close to the ground. The Eagles finally found teh endzone marching down the field in very few plays, after 2 good runs by Murray Bradford found WR Huff on a crossing round that let 2 defenders run into each other leaving him alone to score a TD. The visitors lost the game with 2 fumbles deep into their own territory that resulted in 10 points for their rivals, Matthews and Celek TDs put the game on ice and even Murray at the end returned to score on an handoff from the shotgun that let him scored untouched.

Both team had issues with the o-line but Phila fixed it during the game something that NO hasn't been able to do, Bradford didn't play great but i think it's even due too the years without playing football, something different is for Brees who hasn't been supported by both receivers and o-linemen and the result has been a complete disastrous afternoon, it's hard to find something positive on this performance by the Saints and i don't see any margin of get better, the only chance that they have to compete is protect Brees, let Spiller play more snaps (in Sproles way) and hope that Lewis will be at 100% to help their secondary. For the Eagles i think that they are so far from their best form due too an unhealthy o-line along with a rusty QB but they still need to find a go to guy in their WR core something that they lost when they let go Maclin to KC.

MVP: Fletcher Cox, i wanna give it to the RE because not only he provocateur 2 fumbles but he put a lot of pressure on Brees and he has been a consistent presence against both passes and runs.
