NFL: GB Packers 27 SD Chargers 20 recap and analysis

The Chargers travelled to Green Bay after 2 awful losses, playing a bad football on both sides something that it's not the best thing when you are going to play at home of the best team in the NFL who his QB just had 2 picks 6 in last 3 years on his own field. The Packers scored on atypical way for them, with a 65 yards TD by Starks who run outside the right tackle straight to the endzone untouched thanks to a bad read by the Chargers' LBs and Safeties. SD's offense struggled to put points on the board on the first half even if they played a good offensive football but the lack of running game let them waste some opportunity in short yardage situations to convert the downs so they fell behind 17-3 until the 4th down Inman's TD at the end of the first half in the back of the end zone. On the second half the Chargers' tied the game thanks to an awesome performance by Rivers who continue to produce even without the absence of Allen who exited with an injury, the Packers offense got back on track and went ahead 27-20 with less than 3 minutes to play, SD had the chances to tied it, they marched down field easly preserving 2 time outs but once they arrived on the Packs 3 yard line they struggled with the play calling because they tried twice to enter in the end zone running the ball from the shotgun with a light back like Woodhead is and on a 4th and goal Rivers missed to find Gates and the game ended with a Rodgers kneel.

The Packers haven't been able to play as good as always due to the pressure that the front 7 of the Chargers put on Rodgers even thanks to well designed blitzes, Starks had a great day being able to play on the spaces left that this offense gave to him, on the defense in my opinion they won the battle on the line of scrimmage giving up no significant runs but they lost badly on the secondary giving uo over 500 yards. The Chargers came so close to what would be a very well deserved win for the way they played and improved, they didn't play shy at all and Rivers show that he can be an ELITE QB in this league but they need to improve on running game on the offensive side and commit less stupid penalties that ruined a lot of great things that they put together but overall they should be happy and proud for the performance that they made in Lambeau field.

MVP: Rivers 503 yards and 2 TDs
