MLB ALCS game 2: KC Royals 6 Toronto Blue Jays 3 recap and analysis

This game has been played in 2 different parts, the first one completely dominated by the Jays with a David Price close to the perfection thanks to a sharp combination of 4 seam fastballs and Cutters used on front and back door to get Ks, also by a patience offense who has been able to hit for average and not for power that brought the visitors ahead 3-0, that period came to an end when in the bottom part of the 7th inning when Goins missed an easy play in the short RF that open up a 5 runs innings becuase Price after that error by his 2B lost his command especially on the change-up and the result has been a tons of singles along with a double that ended his game after 6 innings. Since that moment Herrera and Davis had no problems to quiet the Jays lineup that seemed really frustrated for what happened in the 7th and so on their bullpen who gave up another run in the 8th.

In my opinion Price had a great game not only to strike out batter but also keeping his pitch count low until that error literally screwed up his mind, in fact in this game the only thing i should say i did wrong has been lose his mind because from an high experienced pitcher as Price his i expected the necessary calm to handle that not impossible situation. On the other side Ventura played a solid game limiting the damages along taking away all the power that Jays' lineup have, his 2 seam fastball has been consistently over 97 mph, along with a nasty changeup at 89-90 mph adn with a tight curveball at 85-86 mph he striked out so many batter continuing his trend in the 2015's playoffs. At the plate the Jays didn't played a good game being unable to hit for extra bases and also they struggled with RISP, on the other side the Royals played one of teh worst game offensively in this season being unable to get on base and also going out quickly without raising Price's pitch count but in the 7th they shown all their potential and their hitting phylosophy.

MVP: Luke Hochevar (he got 2 key outs in the 6th when Ventura came out of the ballgame and gave his team a chance for the comeback)
