MLB Playoffs: Divisional Series predictions and matchups analysis

National League

St. Louis Cardinals vs Chicago Cubs: for the first time those 2 big rivals will be face to face in a playoffs series and the fireworks are guaranted! Two very young teams with some experienced players  will face each other in a series that in my opinion will be determinate by the pitchers where the Cards have a good advantage thanks to a more complete and deep bullpen along with a more experienced in matter of playoffs rotation, yes it's true that Arrieta has been the best pitcher in the second half of the season but he will pitch just one game and beside of Lester the other pitchers are not good enough to beat a team like the Cardinals are this season. Lineups matchup sees a Cubs team with 2 young stars like Bryant and Rizzo against a Cardinals team without a true elite bat but with 8 good bats. Final result Cardinals 3 Cubs 1

LA Dodgers vs NY Mets: argubly the best pitching matchup in the DS, i'm pretty sire we'll see low scoring games and the majority of the runs that will be scored on it will come from HRs especially when the first 2 pitchers of both rotations will be on the mound because i can't see those 4 great pitchers get hit so many times especially in the same inning. Talking about the power that should make the difference i see the Mets with a lil advantage on that department and it is in the name of the mid-season add Cespedes who brought a lot of consistency to the lineup, on the other side the Dodgers will have in Gonzo their best weapon with lots of question marks around him for example Puig, Pederson and Utley: so much will depend if those 3 will be in form, Utley should be the difference maker due to his experience in post season along with his ability to get clutch hits even if he won't be on his prime. Final result Dodgers 3 Mets 2


American League

Kansas City Royals vs Houston Astros: this will be a series between 2 teams that have a good pitching stuff able to shut down the opponents with Houston have an advantage on starters and KC on relievers, the offenses have opposite ways to score runs, the Astros score the majority of their runs with long balls (11 batters with 20 or more HRs) and the Royals score with a lot of small balls playing hit and run, stealing bases, being fast running the bases, ecc). In my opinion the difference will be fearless mentality that the Astros shown in wild card game against the Yanks, if they ll be able to keep it they would be able to beat the Royals that will have the experience on their side. Final result Astros 3 Royals 1

Toronto Blue Jays vs Texas Rangers: i just say can't wait to see this series...as a offense lover this will be one of the best series ever if you are looking for HRs, lots of runs, extra base hits and so much more but it can't hide the presence of star pitchers like Hamels, Price, Holland, ecc. In my opinion the pitching stuffs will be the main factor to determinate who will be the winner because both teams have offense and there is no doubt about that but on the mound this teams had some problems during the season and who will be able to limit the damage will give his team the access to the ALCS that's why i think that the Rangers will take it due to a better starting rotation than the Jays. Final result Rangers 3 Jays 2
