The Giants started the game with the ball and they put up a great first drive moving the ball well especially on the air with spread formations and even no back sets who gave Eli good miss matches as happened in the first TD of the game a Beckham's one who beat the coverage of MLB Ryans on a slant route to reach the end zone. With the Eagles offense struggling to get first downs on their first drive of them game their defense got the job done avoiding to fall behind by 2 scores stopping the Mannig's 10/10 passing streak with a Ryans' picks 6 right from the TE Donnell's hands that opened up a great drive for the Eagles' offense that marched down the field passing the pass in multiple ways and scoring a receiving TD by WR Riley Cooper on a vertical seem crossing the field out of a well executed play action. Phila's defense continue to do great and this time CB Carroll read perfectly a "pick" play between a flat and a slant route picking off the ball and taking it right into the end zone. On the following drive NY tried to get back on track on offense but once again HB Jennings covered badly the ball and the result has been a fumble recovered by the Eagles defense but just 2 plays later Bradford overthrew a pass so badly that Hosley picked him off easly. After that brilliant start Giants offense struggled so much against an aggressive Eagles' defense and even thanks to an awful punt the home team scored again at the end of the first half on a Sturgis FG.
The second half started with the Giants defense finally had an impact on this game and they had with a forced fumble on their midfield on WR Matthews who tried to do too much without taking care of the ball and this cost the at least a FG. On their following drive the Eagles put together their first balanced drive being able to run the football both inside and outside the tackles even thanks to a 2 TEs set who improved the blocking stuffs, the drives ended into the end zone on a Murray's outside run on the right side. Fortunately for NY who continued to produce nothing on offense their defense continue to save them this time intercepting Bradford in the end zone on a pass intended for TE Ertz who has been greatly covered by Collins who had the better position on him. Since that moment both offense committed tons of errors and Phila managed the rest of the game and got a key win.
Manning after a very good start hasn't been able to keep it going even due to the poor running game of his team who let him become so predictable and the Eagles' defense have been good to take the measure of it. On the other side Murray seemed for the first time this year the Murray of the Cowboys' who dominated the NFL last year but Bradford continued to play such a bad football with poor throwing decisions along with over/under throwing too many passes, they absolutely need to fix this problem because with a defense that is playing a good football against both passes and runs and Murray back they have the occasion to compete.
