NFL: Detroit Lions 17 Arizona Cardinals 42 recap and analysis

After 10 minutes where the defenses controlled the game Stafford put up a great drive with 3 passes that literally have eaten all the field, two of them have been play actions the first one on a crossing route to megatron the second a huge vertical seem to Fueller for 48 yards, on the following play Roddick received a TD on a angle route for the 1st TD of the game. Arizona reacted immediately with a balanced drive ended wit the the receiving TD by TE Fells on a vertical seem using the miss match on MLB Tulloch. Stafford on the following play got picked on a screen pass try by Redding, the offense took advantage of it with D.Johnson who scored a TD with a dive run. Detroit continue to waste opportunity to score and Arizona went ahead by 14 after a 99 yards drive on another D.Johnson powerful run. On the following drive Stafford tried a bubble screen but Redding intercepted it thanks to a great vision along with a perfect read of it then the cards scored another TD, a 18 yards one to John Brown on a post route to punish again the Lions for their turnover. In the second half the Cardinals ended the chances of the Lions to comeback in the game when Patrick Peterson read perfectly and anticipate a curl route by Megatron and picked of the Stafford's pass giving his offense another chance to increase their lead and they got the job done with Larry Fitzgerald who scored on a slant route to beat CB Slay, after that TD Detroit's coaching stuff gave up on that game leaving their best players on the sideline for the rest of it.

The Cardinals confirmed to have a great defense to create turnovers and also their offense continue to do their job scoring and don't turning the ball over thanks to a conservative playbook that didn't leave any good starting field position to their rivals, their massive blitzes destroyed a weak Lions' offensive line that didn't protect Stafford so well but it's hard to give all the fault to them because HB Abdullah struggled to protect the ball and got benched, Stafford and his WRs haven't been on the same page and the result has been another winless week.

MVP: Rashad Johnson
