NFL: Minnesota Vikings 24 NY Giants 10 recap and analysis

Fourth monday night of the season between the Vikings hosting the Giants, after one scoreless drive for each team the game changed when Harris the Giants' punt returner missed to catch a punt around the 40 yard line giving the Vikings the ball possession in a very good field position and they took advantage of it moving th ball well with short passes until they arrived on the 1 yard line due to a pass interference penalty on Rolle covering Patterson on a deep post route in the end zone, once there the put on the field the heavy I formation and let run Asiata behind the FB for the first TD of the game. Minnesota's defense continue to play very well on every department of the game and this let their offense to have the ball possession for longer, they used it in their favor being able to make a fast pace drive running a no huddle offense who has been played exceptionally well by Bradford but also they have been able to move the ball on the ground something that didn't work in the first 3 weeks of the season, the drive ended with a Rudolph TD who beat nickleback Leon Hall on a in route using his size advantage. The Giants finally got on the scoreboard with 2:44 left on the first half due to a Brown 40 yards FG.
In the third quarter the only score has been a 44 yards FG by Walsh that has been possible due to the intercepted by ball his CB Rhodes covering Odell Beckham, the Giants tried to get back in the game in the fourth quarter with their first TD of the game, a rushing one by Darkwa who run for 1 yard on the weak side but unfortunately for them McKinnon closed the game out with 4 yards rushing TD to put the crown on a very good game by the Vikings HB.
Minnesota's keys to get this win has been a high pace offense, an efficient running game thanks also to an improved o-line, an awesome cover by all 3 CBs Newman, Munnerlyn and especialy Rhodes who covered so well OBJ. On the other side the Giants didn't have a reliable running game and also the WRs didn't get free to give Manning a reliable target, the defense played a good game all around being too vulnerable against the runs counting that the Vikings this season have been the worst team to running the football.

MVP: Rhodes
