Moto GP: Montegi GP 2016 recap and analysis

GP Motegi – MotoGP

Hey Marc, give me FIVE!
55 victories and 89 podiums in 147 races; these are just a few numbers of the extraterrestrial Marquez, who won his fifth world title, the third in MotoGP, this Sunday in Japan. In this way he has become the youngest winner of five championships but for a twenty-three years old this can only be a stage of an already wonderful career that could become something unic in the history of motorsports.
Neither Valentino Rossi or Giacomo Agostini had won so much at that age, therefore it is reasonable to think that the Spanish rider will break all records, also because in this last season he has shown a maturity never seen before; in fact he is the only one who has always scored points in every race, unlike in 2015 when he fell six times.
In addition in this 2016 Marquez has been the best at adapting to new Michelin's tires, which have created numerous problems to more experienced riders like Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. Right the Italian is the real loser of Japanese weekend because after a fantastic pole position he slipped in the first part of the race letting the Grand Prix victory to the “Cabroncito”.
In 2016 Rossi has proven to be still a very fast driver but three falls have influenced decisively his ranking and now he is obliged to defend the second place in championship by his teammate Lorenzo, who wants to make the ultimate snub to Valentino before starting his adventure in Ducati.
With this conditions we can be sure that 2017 will be another chapter of the infinity duel between these champions, each with different motivations but all with the same target: beat on track all opponents and graduate world champion!
