NFL International Series: Jacksonville Jaguars 30 Indianapolis Colts 27 recap and analysis

The first game of the 2016 NFL internationals series between the Jaguars and the Colts start in a very slow way on offense with both offense unable to move the ball and gain first downs, the game heated up when Jacksonville Ngakoue intercepted a ball popped up in the air after Luck received a clean in by Telvin Smith, the result has been Jaguars' ball around the 30 yard line. They moved the ball especially on the ground with TJ Yeldon and once close to the endzone the faked a dive run with Ivory to make a play action pass to Robinson who fooled Cromartie due to a fake of fade route. Indy tried to react and tie the game moving the ball on the ground with Luck scrambles along with some Frank Gore's run but once in the Jacksonville territory bad drops by receivers and a big sack on Luck forced Vinatieri to come on the field and made a 54 yarder to reduce the gap. Both defense continue to made a very good job to put pressure on QBs and making sacks, this caused so many 3 and outs, the streak of scoreless drive has been interrupted by the Colts even thanks to some Jags' penalties but once again key drop passes limited them just to 3 points due to another 50 yarder FG by Vinatieri. On the following drive the Jaguars extended their lead finally finding good rhythm on passing game especially in the pocket Bortles has been more efficient, they scored a rushing TD with Bortles on a QB keeper out of the read option from the 1 yard line. Indianapolis got the possession of the ball but after 2 very good runs outside the tackles by Frank Gore they have been force to punt and during the 2 minutes warning the Jaguars made their best drive of the day passing the ball on the outside close to the sidelines to Hurns and Robinson to preserve time and it work at perfection, on the other side teh Colts didn't put any pressure on Bortles and also they committed 2 silly penalties that extended Jaguars' drive that resulted in 3 points due to a short FG.
The second half started with Jacksonville on the possession of the pigskin, they made a very good balanced drive alternating runs to play action pass that literally fooled the Colts defense out, they have been able to do that due to the good job of the offensive line that let the running game be efficient, the Colts defense finally have been able to stop the Jaguars' drive thanks to a great one on one defense by Davis on Robinson, by the way have been able to score other 3 points on a Myers 46 yards FG. Jags' field goals streak continue on thier following drive where they had big gains on the ground with both Ivory and Yeldon but again once they arrive close to the 30 yards of Indianapolis they struggle to advance. The Colts trailing by 3 possession came very close to their rivals scoring with Gore a rushing TD from the I formation close to the goaline and on the following drive with Hilton who has been found in the back of the end zone by a scrambling Luck. The Jaguars reestablished the 10 points lead scoring a receiving TD with Hurns who run a flat route and then eluded 2 tackled and brought it right to the end zone for a 42 yards TD but Indianapolis didn't give up and answered back with a 64 yard strike to WR Dorsett on a vertical seem. Unfortunately for the Colts fan the Jaguars defense denied their last chances to win/tie the game with accurate coverages and good pressure with the defensive line.

MVP: Bortles
