UFC 191: Johnson vs Dodson II matches recap and analysis

VanZant vs Chambers: high pace start of the match started with a quick exchange of punches then it moved to a thai clinch where the VanZant's dirty boxe made the difference, her rival tried to bring the match on the ground where she should have the best of the blonde rival but it didn't happen due to a good takedown defense of VanZant. The second round saw VanZant getting better and better and dominate her rival on both grappling and striking giving her some serious hits that open up the third round scenario where on the ground Chambers left uncovered her eft arm to an armbar that ended the match in favor if Van Zant.

Manuwa vs Johnson: 2 very good striker face to face in the LightHeavyweight division, it was a different first round than i expected because after some good kick boxing exchanges Johnson brought down Manuwa trying to get the better of him with ground and pound. After a first round in favor of Johnson who KO his rival with an hard right overhand right into the jaw of Manuwa that stunned him and left him undefended on the ground.

Johnson vs Dodson II: very high rhythm of the match right from the beginning with Johnson who tried some single leg takedowns but the challenger shown a very good takedown defense that stayed on that level until the end of the 3rd round where his energies started to go down, in the 2nd round Dodson shown the best stuffs on his match due to his boxing skills but Johnson's cardio in late rounds made all the difference like in the 1st match between these 2 athletes, Johnson took over with his wrestling skills and this let them him keep his title, in fact the champion won by unanimous decision.
