NFL: Green Bay Packers 38 KC Chiefs 28 recap and analysis

1st half

The game started in the sign of the Packers that scored first on the air with rookie WR Montgomery on a double move that left him alone in th end zone, to score they put up a very good drive being predictable mixing running plays with both RB and WR along with passes well designed even in matter of picks after the reception that allow short passes became big plays, Rodgers mixed great the distribution of the balls during that drive. GB scored another TD before the end of the 1st quarter with Cobb on a crossing routes pick scheme that designed Montgomery coming across Cobb's route to create a pick and leave the necessary space to receive the ball and score the TD. KC continued to struggle on offense being dominated on the line of scrimmage been unable to establish their running game leaving Smith to be the playmaker on long situations something that he's not so good to do. Their offensive struggled seemed ended a lil bit when they moved the ball well down field thanks to a Kelce big play on a fake crossing route then Charles score their first TD of the game to cut the deficit. The Packers seemed to could score another TD after they marched down the field but the Chiefs pass rushers helped by some very well designed blitzes limited the home team to just 3 points.

2nd half

With a comfortable lead the Packers had just to manage it in the second half and they did it so well to don't turning the ball over and chewing the clock limiting the incompletions on offense, their lead got larger when CB Sam Shields intercepted Smith on the KC's 7 yard line and on the very next play Cobb received in the end zone a precise Rodgers pass that with 22 minutes left in the game killed the Chiefs' chances to comeback in the game. KC didn't give up and scored with Maclin (the best Chiefs in this game) on a 5 yards pass by Smith but GB offense didn't stop to score and again the duo Rodgers Cobb kicked their opponents back by 24 points.

The Packers played great once again especially counting the absence on offense Nelson over everyone, Rodgers passed for 333 yards and 5 TD against one of the best defenses against the pass in last 3 years, he has been able to do that due to a great feetwork in the pocket that allowed him to be always ready to react the the pressure by the Chiefs' pass rushers. The Chiefs didn't play bad but Smith lost badly his matchup with Rodgers and this let the Packers defense concentrate their attentions on Charles, their defense should do something more on pass rushing especially on the edge with Houston and Hali who have been the only way to limit the Packs' QB.

MVP: Rodgers
