1st Half
The first half has been an horrible one for both offense in fact it ended 6-0 in favor of Dallas that scored 2 FGs, the first at the end of the first quarter after they lost a challenge to determine if Escobar entered in the end zone with the ball or not, they haven't been able to score both on the ground and on the air, the second one at the end of the second quarter due to a big help provided by the Eagles defense who made multiple penalties to allow them close to the end zone but a bad management of the clock along with bad play calling let them score just 3 points. The Eagles recorded just 20 offensive yards...it s enough to explain how bad they played, offensive line and bad pass choice by Foles have been the main reasons of the awful performance.
2nd Half
The Eagles git the ball first and the continue to struggle getting forced to punt after a quick 3 and out, a miss assignement during the punt let the Cowboys special teams block it and Wilber got the ball and took it right in to the end zone for the first TD of the game in a very atypical way of them (368 games without scoring on a blocked punt). Phil blown another possession of the ball and Dallas seemed to could take advantage on it especially after a great catch by Dunbar on a fly route outside but after that Romo (bad protected) got tackled, lost the ball, lost the possession and injured his shoulder/collarbone). The Eagles got their first decent drive and thanks to some good receptions they came close to the Cowboys end zone but once on a 1st and 2 right on the goaline the decide to pass the ball twice, the first attempt has been a incompletion, the second one went even worse with MLB Lee who read great the curl route to Eartz and picked the ball off saving his team. The Eagles finally got on board at the beginning of the 4th quarter thanks to a good drive by murray who found the first holes opened by his line in the game and used it in the way that he uses to and he has been a very reliable target on passing game too, but the Cowboys defense continue to be so good and along with the inaccuracy of Bradford they limited the home team to just a FG. Dallas seemed to could put the game on ice with an effective running game especially thanks to McFadden powerful runs between tackles but Escobar fumbled a ball due to a Maxwell hit then Jenkins got it and advanced it. A missed snap syncro between the C Kelce and the QB provocateur a fumble that the defense recovered.
Phila had another chance to cut the deficit but they blew it badly another time due to the JJ Wilcox pick 6 on Bradford who essentially ended the game. If the last play didn't ended it of course did the Williams TD on a crossing round 1 on 1 against the man coverage of Maxwell.
This has been an awful game too much on every sense, bad play calling, bad penalties, poor blocking, poor coverages, poor reads, ecc... I see no winners in this game due to the bad injuries of Romo and Church on the Cowboys side, on the other side the Eagles has been embarrassing in all of aspects.
Nothing to say about this game...just ONE OF THE WORST GAME I'VE EVER SEEN!
