NHL Stanley Cup game 5: TB Lightning 1 Chicago Blackhawks 2 recap and analysis

1st period 0-1

Awesome pace right from the beginning with multiple chances for both teams determinate by fast breakaways and good puck movements, by the way the biggest two chances of the game one for each side came from huge mistakes by the goalie who miss handle the puck, on the first one Kucherov saw denied his try by Crawford on the second one Sharp scored on an open net. After the goal reasonably the pace of the game slew down and so the scoring chances, closely at the end of the period Chicago had some chances to score with medium-long distance shots.

2nd period 1-1

With less than a minute played on it the Blackhawks got the first PP of the game but they haven't been able to create anything on it. Teravainen had a great chance 1 on 1 against Bishop on a fast breakaway but he missed wild on the right side with his wrist shot.  Both teams had a very good chance to score on back to back plays, first Stankos missed to shot the puck from the blue paint then Bishop stopped a dangerous low shot by Versteeg that came from a lose puck on the defensive side. 9 minutes left on the period Filpula tied the game with a wrist show from the low circle, assisted by Garrison with a very good pass that show all his vision. Immediately after the goal TB got a PP but they haven't been able to find the net due to a very good defensive positions by al the Blackhawks' players on th ice that even if the Lightning had the puck on the offensive side for the most part of the time they didn't have good chances to score. 

3rd period 1-2

After exactly 2 minutes Chicago regained the lead when Versteeg made a shot that didn't seem to be dangerous but he became that when on a rebound bad managed by Bishop Vermette scored easily from the blue paint. Vestige and Teravainen continue to create threat to the Lightning defense and Bishop needed to stop some dangerous shot by that duo. TB made someweak try to tied the game but they result in nothing, even when they had the extra skater they found difficulties to enter in the offensive zone and a penalty deleted every chance that they had to comeback on it.
