Matineè at the Tropicana Field between the hometeam Rays against the division rivals Blue Jays, two very hot teams in the month of june fighting for a playoffs spot in the balanced AL East division.
The two starting pitchers have been Estrada for the Jays and Karns for the Rays both pitchers pitched great, the game of Karns ended after 6 inning giving up just 3 hits and 3 walks he also fans 5 showing such a good control especially against an explosive lineup as they jays' one. Estrada didn't give up an hit for 7.1 innings when 2B Forsyte beat a great barehanded throw by Donaldson who played an awesome defensive game flying also deep into the crowd to get a foul ball, Estrada's game ended after 8.2 innings after he gave up his second base hit of the game but his game has been remarkable showing how a pitcher who has a 88-89 mph fastball with good locations and changing level and/or speed you can fan 10 and came close to a no hitter . The game went to the extra innings and the bullpen's continued the positive trend for pitchers till in the bottom part of the 11th when Cecil loaded the bases but DeJesus hasn't been able to take home a run, Colabello punished them in the 12th giving his team the first lead and the first run of the game with an homer, TB hasn't been able to tied it against Delabar who got the save.
