Very good pace right from the beginning with the Lightning dangerous in some situations the biggest 1 a Johnson snap shot who hit the goal post and on the other side the Hawks dangerous just once with a Saad's shot deflected in the traffic, with 7 minutes left in the period Paquette made an impressive play beating the coverage of Saad then he made a perfect wrist shot on the opposite post to beat Crawford for the 1st goal of the game. Toews had a big chance to tied it some minutes later but Bishot stopped it in the blue paint. Stamkos came close to score on a 2 on 1 but Crawford made a good safe with the blocker, TB attacking mode let them have the 1st PP of the game but Chicago made a remarkable job in forechecking to stop their opponents try to enter in the offensive zone.
2nd period
Chicago began at the best way the 2nd period scoring 2 straight goals, the 1st one on a Shaw open net shot after a blue line shot deflected in the traffic that disappeared from the visual of Bishop and the defensemen the 2nd one has been a PPG by Teravainen with a wrister under the crossbar after a give and go with Hossa. TB didn't waste any time and they tied it immediately on a Kucherov deflection on a Garrison's wrist shot. The home team regained the lead due to a bad mistake by Crawford who let the backhand Johnson's shot from the goal line pass him under his arm.
3rd period
As happened in the precedent period Chicago tied the game in few minutes this time with a lot of polemics about it due to a possible interference on Bishop that didn't allowed him to stop the Seabrook shot. Bishop exited from the game to an injury, after that TB got 2 straight PP and at the 2nd one they scored with a Garrison's snap shot that has been deflected by a Blackhawk right into the net. The Blackhawks tried in every way possible to score in last minutes of the game and even if the Lightning renounced to attack the visitors hasn't been able to tied it.
