NBA Finals game 5: GS Warriors 104 Cleveland Cavs 91 recap and analysis

The game started with a lot of turnovers and mistakes, as Golden state took an early lead thanks to their small ball option. David Blatt changed his lineup and J.R. Smith started to hit some shots and had finally an impact, after two bad games in Cleveland. LeBron was playing inside early on to respond the small option of the Warriors, and it was paying off because that forced Green and not Iguodala to defend on the King. Cleveland took the lead in the 2nd quarter, as James found Smith once again, but two outside bombs from Curry reduced the Cavs lead. Cleveland started to cut the tempo once again, as Dellavedova started his show on Curry. A huge jam by Barnes put GSW by 1 after 24 minutes, 51-50. James started the 3rd like the entire series, as he was managing the tempo and the action on the floor. But he started to show some fatigue, as he really need to play too much in this series. So the Warriors took advantage and leaded by 6 entering the 4th, as Smith and Shumpert didn’t hit from outside and James overplayed a lot of actions. But the team from Ohio responded and cut the lead thanks to outside shots from Shumpert and thanks to the amazing work inside by Tristan Thompson. LeBron hit an amazing 3, but the « Splash Brothers » came back to extend the lead for GSW. Then, Steph Curry took the game by himself, started to make Dellavadova danced and hits some huge outside buckets. With 3 minutes left, Curry and his teammates were up by 10 and Cleveland started to do the « Haka Iguo » on Iguodala. Golden State win this game with a great Steph Curry, who scored 37pts and seemed better since the 4th quarter of the 3rd game. LeBron scored an another triple double with 40, 14 and 11. With one win close to the title, the Warriors will go to Cleveland to try to close the series, but the Cavs have heart and im sure LeBron will show up for Game 6. Game 6 is tuesday night in Cleveland.
