1st period
The importance of this game let both teams play so cautious, there weren't any scoring chances due to the very attentive way and the weak tendency of send players in the offensive zone. The only good opportunity has been for the home team when Saad stole a puck in the offensive zone and 2 on 1 tried to assist Toews but they haven't been able to shot the puck.
2nd period
After nearly 10 minutes similar to the ones we saw in the 1st period Chicago moved the puck a way better due to a bigger presence of men in the offensive zone and they found the net with Saad after a quick breakaway initiated by Keith and finished on the close side by a good slap shot by the LW, after few minutes they found the net again due to a very good puck movement making a wheel on the ice who let Andersen be covered by screens and out of his position that let Hossa to score an easy goal for him. Chicago not happy to lead by 2 goals they scored again with Kane who made a personal play and shown all his skills leaving no chance to none to stop him. The Ducks reaction came quickly on a PP where Marron deflected a blue line shot into the net.
3rd period
Trailing by 2 goal and with just 20 minutes left in the game the Ducks didn't waste anytime so they scored after just 2 minutes from the beginning of the last period with Stoner who beated Crawford from the blue line even due to a Silfverberg doubtful interference on him. Anaheim continued to attack with a lot of men but Chicago made a remarkable job to stop any try, the Blackhawks never renounce to counter-attack and that's why they closed the game out on a Saad's back hand goal well assisted by Vermette, with the empty net Chicago found even the 5th goal again with Saad who finally sent it to game 7!
Very good game by the Blackhawks who especially in the 2nd and 3rd period shown their offensive power attacking with all the team something that didn't happen frequently in this series, the Ducks didn't play bad but when Chicago plays like that at home there is nothing that their opponents can do but their stars failed to make the difference and this is something that can't happen if they wanna win game 7.
