NFL: Carolina Panthers vs Indianapolis Colts OT performance valutations and analysis

After what seemed a wasted game for the Panthers due to the failure of keeping the 17 points advantage, they arrived at the overtime against a pumped up Colts team for the exact same opposite motivations, after some minutes of blackout on offense and with the Colts starting the OT with the ball the Panthers defense did a good job avoiding Indy to score a TD and limiting them just to a FG, they did that thanks to a very good coverage and good tackling especially by MLB Kuechly, on the other side the Colts have been too predictable deciding to not run the ball at all. Carolina got the ball and needed at least 3 points to tied it, they have been a way more balanced than their rivals and they came so close to win on a deep pass on a fly route to Ginn who dropped an easy pass that would resulted in a TD,  Gano made the gam tying field goal then Luck again on a west coast offense committed a bad mistake on a crossing route and this time he found Kuechly ready to pick him off and set up the 52 yards game winning FG by Gano.
Even if i give the MVP of the game to Kuechly, Newton played a mature game and in my opinion he beat Luck on every aspect of the game showing a very good improvement since last year, exactly the opposite of Luck and his entire offense, that's why OC Pep Hamilton lost his job after this game.
