Not a common heavyweight contest between the american-croatian contender and the brazilian champions in fact the it was a fight for the UFC heavyweight title, the fight started slow with both fighters patients due of the importance of the it but after some minutes Werdum lost it and became so aggressive and it resulted in a very bad choice especially knowing that his rival is a pure striker and most of all when he started to chase his rival and it was there when the contender knocked him down with a powerful right hand punch that gave him the title.
In my opinion the champion had to be more patience and try to take the fight to the ground where he has an huge advantage but he committed the same mistake of his connational Jose Aldo who lost the title in the same silly way.
