NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers 34 Denver Broncos 27 recap and analysis

Broncos offense vs Steelers defense:this matchup saw two different winners, in the first half the Broncos have been unstoppable with their passing game  thanks to a fired up D. Thomas who forced the Steelers defense to play more deep to avoid deep passes and this opened up a lot of space underneath that has been well used by both Osweiler and his WRs, something that hasn't been well used has been the runnin game and they paid it in the second half when the Steelers defense figured out how to stop their passing game and even due to an Osweiler's injury they had not other options. Pittsburgh played more man to man defense in the second half and even if their pass rushers didn't do anything great they have been able to contest a way more passes giving Osweiler a way tighter window to pass the ball. Pittsburgh LBs ans Safeties has been good on TEs coverage even if in my opinion the Broncos QB should trust more on them and not just give up as he did, the biggest difference between this offense and the Manning's one has been that the second one has a way more options on passing game something that open up huge holes for draws and screen passes and this made the defenses think more.

Steelers offense vs Broncos defense: after a very promising starting drive ended with a Deagelo Williams TD the Steelers offense slew down too much for their standards even due to the great game played by Jockson and Wolfe who provided and inside pressure to Big Ben and along with the outside's one made by Ware and Miller they didn't leave so much time and space to the QB to extend the plays and pass the ball, as it happened to the Broncos offense the Steelers one gave up to the running game too but even if i don't share it they did that to comeback in less time possible to the 20 points deficit that they had at  the beginning of the second half, in the second half the Brocos defense seemed tired especially in the 4th quarter due to the lack of support in matter of time on the field that the offense couldn't provide anymore and so Big Ben found his rythmym and with more time on the pocket the job for teh secondary became nearly impossible to cover and unstoppable Brown who ended with 189 yards and 2 TDs along with Wheaton and Bryant, thanks to tha they have been able to go ahead by 7 points and the possession of the ball with 2 minutes left in the game but Roethlisberger threw a silly pick 6 but Denver's offense continue to struggle and turned over on down giving Pittsburgh a key win.
