Montreal Canadiens vs Ottawa Senators: these 2 teams playing a similar style of hockey and i think this will result in a long series, Ottawa looks hotter than Montreal due to his brilliant end of the season that allowed them to reach the post season, their defense along with great goaltending lead them in this final rush and an important thing should be the return of LW Michalek in lineup. In my opinion the Habs have the advantage on offense of course and into the net with a very good Price but the Sens should reduce these 2 gaps with heir defense and playing a physical style of hockey. The final result of the series will be 4-2 for the Canadiens.
Tampa Bay Lightning vs Detroit Red Wings: 2 teams that are unpredictable in my opinion because you never know which face on the game will be on ice, both teams can win with explosive offensive performances but also shutdown their opponents with strong defensive performance. The Lightning shown more consistence than the Red Wings and this in a series should make the difference along the presence of Stamkos that will be the biggest threat for the Detroit defense and the biggest difference maker. On PP situations i think TB is better than Detroit and the issues with Howard should result in Mrazek as their starter. The finals result of the series will be 4-1 for the Lightning.
NY Rangers vs Pittsburgh Penguins: a very interesting series in the very 1st round between 2 of the best offensive teams in the NHL and also a big classic rivalry. The Rangers improved so much on offense this year and now they are even better than the Pengs but they have Crosby and Malkin that are always dangerous even if their supporting cast is not great this year. The Rangers will have an advantage in matter of lines that means a more complete team than the Pengs but with Fleury to protect their net i think Pittsburgh will have the advantage on that department due to his best season of his career thus far. The final result of the series will be 4-3 for the Rangers with every game as high scoring game.
Washington Capitals vs NY Islanders: the offense of the Isles agains the defense of the Capitals and this will be the topic in every situation of this series, Washington has been more continuous during this season but i think even if they are not in their hottest period the Isles will win this series due to a more complete team especially in offensive options, Washington even if they had a great season by Backstroke they are too committed to their captain Ovechkin to score and if the Isles will limit him they will be in trouble to score and against an high scoring team as NY is it will be so bad for them. The final result of this series is 4-2 for the Islanders.
