NFL: Denver Broncos 21 Carolina Panthers 20 recap and analysis

There were high expectations for this season opener because it wasn't less than "rematch" of the 50th Superbowl and as expected both teams put on a very intense game right from the beginning, where the Broncos started with the ball and under the center made his NFL debut the QB Siemian who have the impossible job to replace Peyton Manning but right from the beginning he shown a strong personallity and made some good precise passes. On the other side the Panthers strated strong on both defensively where Kuechly and Davis forced the rookie Booker to fumble the ball recovered by Thompson and when Davis again deflected and intercepted a pass directed to Sanders, offensively where Newton kept the game very balanced and due to his athletic skills very unpredictable, helped by an awesome job by his offensive line especially by his tackles who kept Miller and Ware away from him, thanks to all of that his offense scored 17 points in the first half, 2 TDs by Newton, 1 on the air on a post route to Benjamin and teh other on the ground. The Broncos didn't struggled to move the ball but they tunred it over too many times and this is why they scored just 7 points on a FB dive run by Janovich in the first half result of great blocking by the o-line who played a very good game especially to open holes for Anderson.
In the second half the things changed radically, Newton and his offense stop completely to move the ball and this gave good field position to the Broncos offense that lead by a very efficient CJ Anderson who brought on his sgoulders the weight of his offense they didn't just comeback but also they took the lead with his second TD of the game. Carolina had the chance to win it on their last drive, one last drive full of trouble for Newton who received a lot of pressure by the Broncos' pass rushers especially by Barrett who like the specialist he is provided a lot fo problems with his speed to the Panthers' o-line forcing Newton to escape from the pocket so many times, at the end of the drive Gano seemed to have a confortable position to kick for the win but the long snapper missed it and the result has been a wide FG to the left that gave the Broncos the first win of the season.

MVP: CJ Anderson
