Moto GP 2016: Aragon GP recap and analysis

GP Aragon- MotoGp

Marquez returns to victory and hypothecates the world title

After an incredible streak of eight different winners in the last eight race Marc Marquez reestablishes the hierarchies in the MotoGp championship with a clear victory in the home track and he approaches the third title in the premier class.
During all the weekend “El Cabroncito” had proved its superiority in the Aragon's track and the amazing pole position of Saturday left little doubts about who was the real favorite for the race but the Spanish rider was able to not betray the expectations with an intelligent race conducted.
Since the early laps Marquez has brought in the lead but a mistake on a corner exit has threatened to get him out of the scene; so after this episode the Spanish found himself in fifth position distanced from the leader Vinales. As expected the comeback was not long in coming and at half of the race Marquez was already in first place after overtaking in order Dovizioso, Lorenzo, Vinales and Rossi.
The second part of the race has been a monologue in the lead of the Spanish champion and it has been animated only by the fight for the second place between Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The Italian rider has tried in every way to stay ahead of the team-mate but a mistake at two laps to go has effectively ended the adversities in favor of the defending world champion.
With four races remaining and one hundred points to be awarded are well 52 the points that separate the leader from Valentino Rossi and the world title is now only a formality for “El Cabroncito” who, this year, has shown a maturity never seen before.
