Heavyweight battle between two veteran fighters who needed a win to try their last run on the high part of their category. Even if their shape hasn't been the best ever their power still on, this is why the fight started with both athletes be careful and attend to attack their rival, Mir tried to avoid to exchange punches with Hunt who is a better striker thanks to his kick boxing skills, so he tried to move the Samoan fighter to the ground where he struggled so much on his career and where the American his an elite fighter but Hunt's takedown defense has been remarkable so Mir got hit by a powerful right handed hook who threw on the ground his rival and ended the fight in the most expectable way of an Hunt's fight.
I expected a way more by Mir and especially by his jaw that seemed to be not the same of few years ago and it cost the match against the Samoan fighter who needed just one punch to end the match without doing anything more than defend takedowns.
