NFL: Green Bay Packers 43 Atlanta Falcons 37 recap and analysis

Green Bay scored on their very 1st possession of the game using a very balanced offense that started with Lacy's powerful runs to force the defense to play more committed to the runs and when it happened they passes the ball especially to Nelson, once they reached the Falcons' 5 yard line they let Starks run for a TD on an outside run from a shotgun formation.
Atlanta aswer immediately with a balanced similar drive of the 1 the Packers did before riding especially ones on passing game and Jackson on the ground who also finalyzed the drive scoring a short yardage rushing TD. Falcons inability to put up pressure on Rodgers compromyzed their chances to stop Packs offense that marched once again down field but this time passing the ball the most of times to switch to run it once they reached the goaline to let Lacy score a rushing TD on a power run on his left side. The Falcons still unable to stop the Packers offense even on their 3rd drive, a drive that started with lot of plays on the ground to both RBs and once the Packers arrived on Atlanta's 20 yards they got in trouble to avance the ball because the Falcons played tough vs the runs and made a great long coverage on every GB's receiver with both LB's and DB's meanwhile the 4 DL men tried to put pressure on Roddgers and doinf that they forced GB to kick a FG.
Ryan tried to react to Rodgers efficiency but he committed an huge error when i pass the ball the Hester who was completely covered by SS Morgan Burnett who intecepted the ball and returned it to the Faclons 14 yards. Rodgers punished the 1st Ryan's mistake throwing his 1st TD of the game to RB Eddie Lacy on a quick release route. Packers defense continued to be on fire and forced the Falcons out of the field quickly thanks to a great pass-rush (usually rushing 4 players 2 DTs and 2 OLBs) and a very good coverage too. Rodgers scored his 2nd TD pass of the game finding Nelson on the back of the endzone after he got free fromn the Falcons' zone defense.
Trailing 31-7 at the beginning of the 2nd half the Falcons needed a quick efficient reaction and they found it thanks to the great reception and run by WR Julio Jones on a sluggo (slant and go route) for 79 yards righ to the Packers 5 yards where Ryan converted throwing a TD pass o a 4th down to WR Eric Weems. Atlanta's defense continue the trend forcing GB offense to a quick 3 and out, giving their offense another chance to cut the lead. The offense lead by Ryan partially completed the mission to arrive in FG range to allow Bryant to kick a 50 yarder. Rodgers tried to stop the bleeding of his team taking resposibilities passing more the ball rolling more out of the pocket to create more different situations to force the defense to react to them and get free some of his receivers, Atlanta defense forced Crosby to came on the field to kick a FG drom 33 yards. Falcons offense very determinated to cameback in the game score another TD this time the argubly the best player of the game Julio Jones who beat 1 on 1 Shield on a fade route outside, Jaquizz Rogers gave a big contribution to the drive give another dimension to their offense with his ability to catch the ball. Rodgers re-estabilished along with Nelson their 3 possessions lead with a deep pass down the middle for 60 to his favorite target who got free due to a very well execute double move. After the TD Atlanta's special team blocked the PAT. Jones and Ryan took the Falcons on their shoulder and drove the ball down the field without any problem to let Roddy White score his 1st TD of the game. Rodgers lead his offense to another FG to get a 13 points lead with less then 5 minutes to play. The Falcons scored a TD with WR Douglas who received an out route in the endzone to convert a 4th down after a very good drive without Julio Jones (left hip injury). Atlanta tried an onside kick but Bosher executed it a such a bad way and Nelson recovered it easly. Starks' long run closed this beautiful game out. Atlanta paid the initial errors by Ryan who redeemed himself with an awesome 2nd half unfortunately for them a lil bit too late. Rodgers made another MVP kind of game being nearly unstoppable even thanks to the huge performance by Nelson who beat the all time single season record of TDs for over 40 yards scoring his 7th of the season. If both teams will play like this for the rest of the season i'm sure they can achieve very good results.
I on't wanna give just 1 MVP for this game but i will give 3 stars like in the NHL and this 3 stars go to: Julio Jones 259 yards and a TD, Jordy Nelson 146 yards and 2 TDs, Aaron Rodgers 327 yards 3 TDs and no INT.
