The Browns are coming off such a bad game in Buffalo, and at 7-5, they need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Entering week 14, 6 teams have a 7-5 record, Miami, Buffalo, KC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and the information Cleveland : yes, the playoff race is so fun in the AFC. The Colts have no such problems, as they lead their division with a 8 and 4 record. They destroyed the Redskins last week at home, 49 to 27.
Cleveland will turn to the struggling QB Brian Hoyer instead of Manziel, who looked good in the 4th at Buffalo. To win this football game, the Browns need to establish their running game early, with the duo of rookies Crowell and West. The Colts are not so good against the run, as we remember monster games by Pats RB Gray or by Texans RB Foster against Indy defense. If the running game is working, Hoyer will have so less pressure throwing and he will look at other option than WR Josh Gordon, who is targeted a lot since his comeback and for me, too much. Opposite defense always put 2 guys on him, but Hoyer wants to find him : in fact, 4 of his last 5 picks were thrown in the direction of the former Baylor player. On the defensive side, well the Browns have to play their game, as they are on a streak of 17 straight game with at least one takeaways. CB Joe Haden will try to shutdown WR Hilton and the Browns backs will have a lot of works, a lot because Indy running game is not so great.
Yes, for the Indianapolis Colts, the lost of RB Bradshaw is huge, because he had the possibility to run but also to catch the football. Right now, Boom Herron is the top guy in the Colts backfield, as former 1st round pick RB Trent Richardson will play against his former team, who can downright motivate him, but he look so awful since Indy acquired him last season. So Luck will have to throw the ball, a thing he’s not so bad, as he leads the NFL with 4,011 yards thrown and a league high 36 TD. With his top target covered by a top CB, the former Stanford guy will have to find other way to march than the field. Other players have to step up, for exemple the legend WR Wayne, the rookie WR Moncrief or why not WR Nicks, the former Giants. But good news for Chuck Pagano offense, as TE Allen will come back and with the other TE Coby Fleener, Pep Hamilton, the offensive coordinator has now a two heads monster. Vontae Davis will have a superb test against Josh Gordon, and the Colts need great performance by their front 7 to stop the running game.
Im taking the Colts winning this football game, but this will be a close one, with WR Reggie Wayne as the X Factor and QB star Andrew Luck as the MVP.
