NBA:Chicago Bulls 102 Golden State Warriors 112 recap and considerations

The best team in the NBA was in the Midwest region saturday night, as PG Steep Curry and his Golden State Warriors visited the United Center to face Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. The Warriors were at 16-2 after defeating the Pelicans thursday and the Bulls had a record of 12 wins and 7 losses, as they win in Charlotte last wednesday.
Golden State dominated the first half, as their defense was the real key to success : the team of Steve Kerr scored an amazing total of 27 points out of the Bulls turnovers. Draymond Green was hot early, as he drained 2 shots from distance in the early going : the former Spartans finished the 1st quarter with 11 points. SG Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes were good in the second quarter along with Curry, who had not a superb shooting night, but he dished assists and striped balls from the Bulls. Chicago was not good in the 1st period, as their defense was suspect and they lose to much balls. The California guys lead 61 to 49 at halftime.
But Thibodeau’s team keep fighting and they came out really well in the 3rd. Jimmy Butler was very good, as he drained some 3’s but also get to the rack. The SG out of Marquette initiated a 17 to 2 comeback, as he scored 24 in the game. Chicago won the 3rd period by 13 and Pau Gasol was huge in this rise : the former Lakers scored 10 of his 22 in the 3rd and also grab a season high 20 rebounds in the game. But unfortunately for the Bulls, Derrick Rose didn’t score a field goal after the 1st quarter and the Warriors took advantage of this mess. The team from California won the last quarter by 11, a lot because of their efficiency behind the arc. Klay Thompson was superb with 24 but the story on saturday night was Draymond Green, as the forme Michigan State player scored 31 big points with 7 shots from downtown. Bench players Iguodala and Speights brought their contribution with 17 points and 8 boards combine, and Curry finished the night with 19 and 7 dimes.
The key was to limitate the contribution of the Bulls bench, because with Rose and Dunleavy ineffective, Chicago needed scoring from other guys. Hinrich and Gibson were in double figure, but PG Brooks and PF Mirotic were not on their game, with 3 points combine.
My MVP to this game is for sure Draymond Green, as the number 23 of the Warriors continue to take advantage of the absence of All Star PF David Lee to be very good in the starting lineup. The former Spartans scored 31, grabbed 7 boards, rejected 3 and stole 4 balls from some sloppy Bulls.
