The fight that was supposed to be made 8 years ago has been made this sunday in Hamburg, Germany. A lot of respect between those two legendary fighters but right from the first round the intensity and the hard hits took place consistently, the first round went in my opinion to Arlovski due to the majority of the strikes landed even if his rival made a tons of them, in fact both fighter had the chance to end the fight by KO. the second round has been similar to the first with the big difference that Barnett have been able to close the distance few times and throw some serious hits from the clinch right to his rival who seemed a lil bit in trouble on grappling, in fact he passed the last minute and fourthy seconds of the round defending his face from Barnett's brutal hits from the "montada". In the third round Arlovski tried more times his best weapon (the right hand punch) but he hasn't been able to land hit but when he tried a takedown his rival made an outstanding move to reverse the position, got the back of the Pitbull and end the fight with a rear nacked choke.
This match has been beautiful to watch and both athletes deserve respect fo what they did in the octagon showing a great will to win along great techniques showing that they still competitive even counting they are close to the 40s.
