The third thursday night of the 2016 season started with 10 minutes dominated by the defense especially thanks to the great work by both front 7 who denied the running game and in the same time they put pressure on both QBs, the Pats played with their 3rd QB Brissett who made his NFL debut. New England scored teh first 3 points of the game following a good balanced drive made by some tricky plays like options and pitches to try to move out of comfort the Texans defense and it paid off. Houston complicated his situation so much fumbling and losing it on the kickoff return on their own 22 yards, the Patriots took advantage of it bringing it to the endzone with Brissett on a QB keeper that fooled the Texans defense, on the following possession Osweiler tried to do too much passsing the ball to Hopkins who was running a post route against the zone defense of teh Pts and the play resulted in a interception by Collins.
The second half started with a good conservative drive by the Patriots ended with 3 points due to the Gostkowski FG, Houston differently than New England continue to didn't take care of the pigskin and the result has been another fumble on the kickoff (the second of the night) that lead Blount's TD rom the I formation which ended the Texans' chances of a comeback.
New England continued to play great football even without Brady thanks to a great and opportunistic defense along with an offense who never lose the ball, on the other side Houston lost it with their offense completely unable to produce points lead by Miller who is the only Texan who played decent football on offense, their defense has been a victim of the multiple turnover mad eby teh offense and teh special teams, Osweiler show anothe rtime that is maybe the most overpaid player in the NFL being unable to read different cover put on by the defense and unable also to give his offense the trust they needed.
MVP: Blount
