NFL 2017 TOP 5 Defensive players position by position

DE

1) Calais Campbell: his first season and in Jacksonville was a success from all points of view and with the first place in the sacks in the sacks has earned a place at the probowl
2) Joey Bosa: Potentially the best pass rusher in the league and since being in the Chargers has made their defense one of the best against the passes.
3) Everson Griffen: the course of the excellent defense of the Vikings with or without him changes radically.
4) DeMarcus Lawrence: In a year undertone for the Cowboys his consecration as the top sacker of the league is one of the happiest notes.
5) Cameron Jordan: with good CB also his performance is back to being a few years ago.

INTERIOR LINEMEN

1) Aaron Donald: After JJ Watt the most dominant physically dominant defender of the NFL, the transition from 43 to 34 has not slowed him down by confirming him as a top against both the races and the passrusher.
2) Cameron Heyward: Ignored again for the ProBowl question but its impact speaks clearly and deserves to be counted among the best ever.
3) Malik Jackson: One of the best defensive tackles regarding passrushing.
4) Linval Joseph: NT of absolute level, "eater" of blocks very important for the dynamics of the defense of the Vikings.
5) Kawann Short: DT in the 43 of the Panthers and a key element in the internal pressure of a defense that makes the pressure of the line one of its main weapons.

OLB

1) Chandler Jones: Sack Leader in the NFL and an important impact despite the losing season of the Cardinals.
2) Ryan Kerrigan: Excellent in passrushing, strong against racing and able to drop in coverage. These features make it a complete and reliable linebacker in every situation.
3) Melvin Ingram: In tandem with Bosa they constitute the duo of the strongest passrushers of the NFL with 23 sacks together.
4) Terrell Suggs: age does not slow him down at all, ProBowler is a physical / technical domination that does not reveal his age and his mileage.
5) Von Miller: A subdued season not only for the Broncos but also for him that despite everything he managed to get 10 degrees in the sacks and to be a presence against the races.

ILB

1) Blake Martinez: The Packers' defense force was front 7 and in front 7 he became the leader driving the league in tackles.
2) Luke Kuechly: The most complete linebacker of all, excellent against racing, good at both area and man and capable of blizzing in the "a" gap.
3) CJ Mosley: The heir to Ray Lewis since he left Alabama has left everyone speechless for maturity and reading skills and this season has not been worth less than the convocation of the ProBowl.
4) Joe Schobert: Middle Linebacker of the Browns who has carved out a place in the elite of the NFL thanks to his 144 tackles performance which earned him the first place in the NFL in parimerito.
5) Deion Jones: The best coverage linebacker, able to cover both area and man thanks to his immense athleticism.

CB

1) Darius Slay: It is no coincidence that his nickname is BIG PLAY, Slay is not only a high-level cornerback but is also a playmaker that is one that can make play points even if in defense, thanks to its ability to intercept the passages and to cover to man despite not being a giant.
2) AJ Buoye: One of the many purchases of the Jaguars more than spot on, along with the young Ramsey composes the best cornerback pair of the NFL and is a real nightmare for the adversary especially when it covers the area.
3) Marshon Lattimore: He has literally changed the defense of the Saints, in fact since the first choice from Ohio State has set foot in the field the fate of what was a bad defense have improved a lot.
4) Marcus Peters: Grumpy character and a lot of talent, these are the characteristics of one of the best cornerbacks in the men's coverage of the NFL and key player for the defense of the Chiefs.
5) Patrick Peterson: Undoubtedly the most talented in his role, phenomenal in all game situations but being a shutdown cornerback did not manage to make many interceptions due to the low number of targets that the opponents QBs make to the WR marked by him.

S

1) Harrison Smith: In my opinion the defensive player of the year, knows how to play deep, in the box and even in slots. He has an instinct for the incredible ball and a physicality that allows him to be a factor even against racing and without him the Vikings would not have one of the best defenses of the league.
2) Reshad Jones: An incredible tackles machine with 122, so many counting that we are talking about a safety capable also in coverage.
3) Eric Weddle: often plays by ILB in the dime but is also able to cover very effective areas and in a short time has already become a key player of the Ravens.
4) Kevin Byard: Equal to Slay in turnovers this season and a presence that was missing for a long time in the secondary of the Titans.
5) Tyrann Mathieu: Very similar to Harrison Smith for type of player, very complete and the strongest in his role with regard to man cover especially in slots.
