Pittsburgh Steelers early season's struggles analysis

After six matches the Pittsburgh Steelers have a record of all respect (5-2), controversy does not derive from this, but from the performance of the team, especially those of the attack. The defendant number one especially after the fierce performance at home against the Jaguars was Big Ben Roethlisberger who finished that match with 0 touchdowns and 5 intercepts (highest in career), but unfortunately for the Steelers the blame is not all his is the result of a bad offensive group test, the line has suffered the Jaguars front seven which not only limited the racing game but managed to put a constant pressure on Roethlisberger because of the excellent manhole made by AJ Buoye and Jalen Ramsey did not have the chance to produce yards but only turnovers. In the Pittsburgh attack as already mentioned more than one mechanism is not working since the atypical rating of Ben Roethlisberger (82.3) and the average of LeVeon Bell racing yards (4) are definitely below the average, in part they are attributable errors in game decisions but the other part is attributable to an offensive line that after years of very good performance can open holes for Bell and give Big Ben time to extend the game and find its receivers on deep traces able to create big plays that made it an elite quarterback. The best in the Pittsburgh attack so far has been Antonio Brown with over 100 yards of game averages and 3 touchdowns while other receivers such as Bryant, James, Heyward-Bey and Rogers are producing too little and making the attack more competitive of Steelers will also need to make a good contribution to give Roethlisberger a credible alternative to Brown in the air game.
As far as defense is performing well this season and unlike the past, the 3-4 of the Steelers is more effective against the passages than against racing and is something that historically has not happened many times in the history of the franchise of the steel city . Middle-linebacker Ryan Shazier after the departure of Lawrence Timmons has become the leader of the defense and drives the Steelers defense in every category except the sack where the rookie TJ Watt, Cameron Heyward and Vince Williams are all at 4 and this testifies 'Great pressure that Pittsburgh's defense succeeds in making quarterback opponents. The advantage and disadvantage of the Steelers defense is that being a blitz zone is almost always played in zaonia and in some matchups as against the Kansas City Chiefs may prove to be the winning weapon, instead against other teams and quarterbacks such as the New England Patriots and Brady is almost always in a weak fatality. The blitz zone devised by Dick LeBeau is not only beaten through "dead zones" but also with races as they have shown brilliantly by John Fox's Chicago Bears, capable of knocking Steelers by trapping the two midlinebackers in their own blitz reading them in advance and doing so leaving Jordan Howard free to get on the second level unknowingly, producing a great amount of yards. Having chosen Shazier and Williams both mobile linebackers is more difficult than the past when there were Timmons and Foote stopping the races and destroying offensive line blocks and this will be one where the front office will have to work offseason to improve it.
The AFC North I believe is now in their hands as there is no team able to compete with them but once at the playoffs the Steelers if they want to have a chance to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy will have to force limit the turnovers as they know that in the playoffs the rate of lost balls makes all the difference in the world between those who advance and who are eliminated.
